We Have A Good In The Making

I saw Obyrne with Hamilton , and he is a solid prospect. He is further than Komi
at this stage of his career. He skates well , great size, his positioning is ok, he can fill a 5th , 6th role with us next year .Having 2 quick linebackers who move well ,and hit , on the same team will be a bonus down the road.

Good to hear this. With three of our top four defense men becoming UFA next year there's a good chance we're gonna need it.

I did enjoy O'Byrne's play last Friday night and I believe he will be a good, solid dman for a long time. However, to say that he's further along than Komi at this stage in his career is very misleading. In fact, it's just plain wrong. At the same age, Komi had already played 67 NHL and 56 AHL games. In his first year in Hamilton, he had 30pts in those 56 games and was a force out there.

Anyone saw the hit of Obyrne friday? The one where the marlies player ended up on our bench. I like what i saw of obyrne too friday. He can make big hits, skates well and passes well. If he continues improving i would see love to see him with the habs. Our right side will be hard to pass for years with him and komi on it.

Also if someone can post the video of that hit it would be cool.
