Question about NHL rules...

Do the away uniforms (old homes) have to be white? Would it be legal if a team had (for example) a dark jersey for home and a light yellow or sky blue (not white) for away?

Yes, it would be legal.

Kings used to wear the purple on the road, and then those all yellow jobs as their home jerseys.

Yes, Flyers have a white jersey.

The old orange was a staple, used to be the road jersey. The new orange jersey is the 3rd jersey.
