Man you'd think the sky was falling here or something.
I've noticed the second line progressively getting better as the games go on. I don't know about you guys, but the last few games I see alot more chemistry between all of them. I see Kovalev making some nice passes (still not shooting, but it will come). I see Plekanec being an absolute ****ing workhorse...The guy gets no credit but he KILLS himself to get the puck and get it to Kovalev. The guy takes a huge beating. I see Samsonov starting to move the puck alot more. It's refreshing to see a guy besides Koivu actually move the puck. The puck is on his stick for a long time, and unlike Kovalev, he actually moves for than 6 feet with it.
Every game I see all 3 of them play a little better. They're starting to gel. Kovalev is a very hard player to play with because he's unlike anyone in the league. He's like Jagr without the hockey sense in that regard (most players will admit that playing with Jagr takes alot of getting used to, and will say the same for Kovalev).
Let me also add, for those of you who have short memories...
Last year, it took the Flyers quite a while for their first line to find chemistry. Everyone all but counted out the Forsberg-Gagne line and then they suddenly exploded. By the end of the year they were regarded as one of the best lines in the league.
The fact is, Kovalev, Samsonov and Plekanec are too good to NOT eventually find chemistry together.
