I wonder what the reception will be like when(if) he plays in Montreal.

Meh, hasn't Theodore been a slow starter even on his MVP season ?

I don't want to be a prophet of doom, but I've got a feeling he's gonna have all his gearings straight for the game against Montreal. If he's put in nets that is ...

Just have that feeling too. Though I can understand the hate, I don't understand making a big deal of his 1st bad game of the year, especially with a game coming in Montreal where I just the feeling he'll love the pressure and play on top of his head. But I have plenty of confidence that the first one to blame him or blast him, would come back to praise him if he does well.......Should I have that confidence????

And I don't think it's the greatest idea to go to anybody's board and gloating about how weak he looks or how any other ex-habs looks.....Do you want some Dallas fans to write each time Ribeiro will score via his skate or has his numerous secondary assists?????

While we're willing to wait in order to see if Huet is really for real, why don't we wait in order to see if Theo really can't bring his game to something that might look to his old form......I don't think he will, but he also can't be that bad.....

Right now, Mike Dunham looks much better than him.....

Theodore has never lived up to the big price tag he wanted and got. Lucky for us old Pierre was stupid enough to take him off our hands and Gainey was able to escape the mistake of giving the overrated Theodore that big contract.

I'm not sure if it's actually his misfortune. I mean, it is him not living up to his claims that he's a top-flight goaltender. He made that claim when he played hardball to get a large contract.

And frankly, Theodore isn't exactly a class-act himself.

Well he did win those trophies and unfortunately you have to pay for those. I tell you, I hope our players never win a trophy, I was actually so relieved when Raycroft beat Ryder 'cause those trophies always comes up in the negotiations, and don't think being a runner-up is that much of a bargaining chip....

I do think Theo was a good goalie in the Old system, in the new one, well his flaws are too noticeable.....But so does, Aebi with his rebounds, and so does Huet with his book......But obviously the difference, is 3 millions....Let just say that right now Aebi-Sammy or Huet-Sammy > Theo......

I would bet there are a few habs players who also would love to see him in net and want to score by the boat load.

My god, just let kovalev and ryder shoot the puck all night saturday, They could probably end up with 6 goals each.

i heard Theodore stunk and Garon not playing very well...

a couple of things on Sportnet lunch(TV/radio) with Bil Berg and darren Millard

Berg says that Theodore was brutal and let in a goal that a peewee goalie should have gotten, apparently their was a goal that was not screened or deflected that went through Jose, also the La Kings beat writer was on and said that Garon has not played well and the team is looking to jonathan bernier to be their future number 1

Good job Bob, the only down side i guess these days for player personell is the terrific play of kopitar but i suspect other teams can alos kick themselves, anze went 11th so 10 other teams had a shot at this kid.

cheers

Definately serves one. Won't be possible anymore to have 4 threads on next Ribeiro's assist and on how Zednik uses no hands on his stick anymore.....Only 1 thread for all of this, for me it's enough purpose.....

We know perfectly well what he could have done on our second line - he did it for two full seasons and was good enough in the regular season but fairly unspectacular otherwise. He disappeared during the playoffs and was woefully inadequate as the number one center whenever Koivu was out of the lineup.

I regret having lost the likes of Carbonneau, Roy, Keane, Leclair, Desjardins in the past - not the Ribeiros, Brett Clarks, Jose Theodores, and Francois Beauchemins of the world.

We have some of those players in Pleks, Higgins, Koivu, Begin, Murray. The Kovalevs, Bonks and Samsonovs are what we don't need (Ribeiros as well). Luckily they're money in the bank in the playoffs...

I found another one.....If it permits us to vent about those ex-players on our board instead of bugging other boards about how we're happy their new player suck, I believe, it may permit us to have a better name as fans around this site.....

Or at least, if you're over there when they suck, go back when they're not.....Much better to have a threads here to voice our frustration, some with tons of reason, Theo included, then bug the AVS fans, who I don't remember coming here when Aebi looked like a octopus last year.....

There was speculation about him in the off-season, as there was about Vincent Lecavalier (I didn't have time to include him before my post was relocated to this thread).
