I Summon All Fellow Hab Fans - Let's take it out on Boston

Ok, we lost against the best team in the NHL in what was a very close game. This was a team that has been beating teams handily thus far.

Although Carolina are the current Stanley Cup Champions I believe Buffalo is the team to beat and to measure how good you are. I'm very pissed right now. From this moment on, every team our Habs play should be practice time for our next meeting with Buffalo. Our Habs played a very good game tonight and would beat most teams in the NHL playing that way.

Next up is Boston. If I'm Montreal there is no reason why we shouldn't spank them and win handily by at least 3 goals. That is what I expect next game. Let us take our aggression out on the poor saps we face next. No merci.

Let's turn this loss into a positive as there were many in this game.

Let's begin now with our chants. The season starts now and let the beast awaken within our Habs.

All hands in the middle!

Ready...GO HABS GO! GO HABS GO!

Come on..where's your team spirit. Help me out here guys. Show your passion for Les Canadiens. We have a good team and the Sabres also know this.

I think you're team is great, matches up with outs very well with the speed. The Habs will be great this year.

My team spirit..? Well, expectedly enough it had vanished after tonight's loss. It's a little difficult to remain positive after such a heartbreaking loss, so I'm just trying to gain some of that good mood back with jokes here and there. Of course, you can blame me for doing it if you wish.

Yeah I agree, the habs can challenge every team in the league we have the talent and the team spirit, there is just a couple of little things to ajust and I'm sure we can beat the sabres! We also need to start the games well it worked against Calgary and Colorado but we can't win against top teams when we are losing from 2 or 3 goals...
anyway go go

I think the Habs and Sabres have similar teams but the Sabres are simply better. That's the bottom line, we lost to one of the best teams in the league, but we showed we're not totally outclassed by them. But what a team the Sabres have. 3 solid lines that can produce and an excellent energy/toughness line.

This makes me think that we've got a very good shot of making the playoffs. Early in the year I thought we'd be struggling 7-10ish, but I think 6th is not out of the question if we can play our game and get important points.

How can your team spirit vanish after only our 2nd regulation loss of the season? We're 4-2-2 and we're going to spank the B's Thursday. If they spank the B's I'll be happier. I'm itching for our next win. We also have a game in hand on the Leafs being onyl one point behind. Our PP and Pk are still the best, if not 2nd best in the league.

I'm just worried that we're going to repeat ourselves and go into a slump after a good start as we did last time. I don't know how this loss echoed in the locker room, but I imagine not very good at all.

I understand what you're talking about. Last year we had an amazing start, but we were barely winning all those one goal games and you just knew that sooner or later we'de be at the losing end of those one goal games. This year our offense is better, much better. We didn't have Higgins playing on the top line to start last season. The real habs team is what you see. They aren't as much the cardiac canadiens as they were last year. I sense we're just getting it going now into full gear. Last year our team gelled late last year. We added some missing pieces and we're better for it without ruining any of the core from last year. We swapped Zednik and Bulis for Johnson and Samsonov. So far those two players are outperforming Zed and Bulis. Johnson is a huge and pleasant surprise thus far.

Anyone else ? Very disappointed with the lack of support here. With all the naysayers on this board, let's stir up the positive energy. If someone told you all you had to do was post your cheers in a thread for the Habs to win the next game would you? Well, let's see it.

Why are some people all depressed and sad that we lost ONE game? It's always like that with most habs fans. Take the positives out of the game, and just swallow the defeat and move on. Tomorrow is a new day, and this is a game after all.

On top of that, we have the best team this year that we have had in a long long time.. so chill, relax, and ENJOY the GAME, and the team.

Go habs GO!

Another Sabre fan in agreement. The first period was lightening fast with only a few whistles. You guys made us skate our butts off EVERY SHIFT. Nice job, good luck!

I'll be very pissed off if we lose to Boston. They are playing crappy hockey and I love beating them.

I was at the game. Left my head high. We were simply beaten by a better team. Lets learn from this, take out our frustration in Da Bruins and get the Sabres next time we see them.

Based on what I've seen so far this year, the Habs will get the #4 seed in the east. You will play Carolina in the 1st round as they will be #5. You'll get your chance at revenge.
Here is how it will end up.

1. Buffalo
2. Atlanta
3. Atlantic Division winner
4. Habs
5. Carolina
6. ?
7.?
8. ?

I think we played a very solid game, it was crazy to see just how good Buffalo was tonight, but we still managed to be competitive. I liked the effort, I did not like the result but hell, that's what the B's are for! Hoping for a royal ***-kicking, and I expect no less against the Bruins, there our confidence boosters, haha

GO HABS GO!
