North by Northwest cuisine

As the Canes head off to the great northwest, I've decided just for fun to match the games with some local cuisine. I'm guessing some dishes with Alberta beef would be in order for the Calgary and Edmonton games. Any local recipes to share from our friends in Alberta?

What is Vancouver's specialty, anyone know? Some kind of fish, I'm guessing...

No recipes from the C of Red faithful? Guess I'll have to Google up some Alberta specialties for tonight and Thursday

Alberta - Either alberta beef or Prairie Oysters - also calgary is famous for fish and chips

Vancouver - gotta to be salmon - BC salmon is the way to go

Prime Rib is always a good way to go, or a big thick softball steak with the typical veggies. Beef Ribs off of the BBQ. You can't go wrong with any of those

In Vancouver, I'm a big fan of grilled Samon, its pretty fresh out there.

Well I'm from Alberta and this is what you do. Take a 2" thick AAA sirloin and soak it in Cattleboys marinade, then throw 'er on the grill. Done. You should eat it with a baked potato or preferably some Taber corn (if you can get your hands on it), best in the world!

Meh. You can keep your stinky mercury-poisoned salmon. Ha! There aint nothing better than Alberta beef. Insert mad cow joke here.
