Spare us. Not even the biggest Leaf homers would claim that.

Also, Tucker is one of the most hated players at HF. It's not like there's a bunch of people talking him up all the time.

Also if anything Tucker is underrated here.

Also, look at the number of non-Leaf fans here who are saying "I hate the **** ****** ****, but I respect his value to his team."

It's like Quiet Robert said. He's a **** ****, but he's also a top-6 forward who can hit, fight, skate, grind, and agitate. That's pretty valuable.

If Toronto doesn't sign him, 29 other teams will try. I would give him that contract easily. I absolutely despise him but I'd take him on my team without blinking.

What's all this talk about Tucker being a 30 goal scorer?

He has been playing great. But that last fight shows me he has the spine of a slug.

I hope he lines up against Laraque and he gets a *** whoppin of all time.

Please take a look at the polls section and check the polls for the potential candidate of a 50g year

Ronald Pagan, I agree with you 100%.

The question is, will he ACCEPT that deal?

5 years is too high IMO.

The guy is 31, and with his all out style of play and small frame, will he still be the same at 35 or 36?

Also, 16 of his goals last year came on the powerplay. When Sundin leaves, is he still a 28 goal scorer? Or does he go back to being a 20 goal player 40-45 point player?

I'd give him 3 years at 2.8 per year. Schaefer got 2.1 on a 4 year deal in Ottawa, so it seems right. Perhaps a slight overpayment, but not by much.

Oh, and don't start me on these NMCs. If JFJ gives out another one, he's dumber than I thought.

I'm really hoping Toronto overpays, well I guess I don't have to hope for that (examples: Hal Gill, Pavel Kubina, Bryan McCabe); they'll sign Tucker to a ridiculous contract.

Seriously why do you care?

If you are going to troll, you should hide it a little bit better than that

It was a poll OPTION, in a poll created by a RED WINGS FAN. Clearly basing it on who has had the best start and Tucker is among those options goal wise. ONE PERSON thought Tucker would actually score 50. ONE PERSON WHO NO DOUBT WAS MAKING A JOKE. NO LEAF FAN THINKS TUCKER WILL SCORE 50.

Whatever Kyle Calders worth, add 200k, and multiply by three years.

I'm not trolling at all. I just want that franchise ruined. More of a hatred thing for me and the rest of Canada.

Bad deal imo. I'd rather pay a little more per year and get a shorter deal than sign him up for five years with a NMC. If he gets hurt and becomes a shadow of his former self, Toronto is going to be hurting and they'll have no option in fixing it.

Hey there's a good idea.. get rid of one of the most profitable franchises. I'm sure that would have a wonderful effect on the league.

But yeh.. 2 million for Hal Gill.. doom, I say, doom!

i think if Tuckers signs for 5 years @ 15 million it could mean they arent going to pick up Sundin's option... and they may try to re-sign his as a UFA for cheaper

according to most reports they won't pick up Sundin's option for accounting purposes and will re-sign as a UFA.
