Chara looks like a beast! Whether he plays that way or not is another story. I would put money on Chara over any fighter in the league...he can pummel anyone in the league in a fight. Lats needs to outskate/finess Chara not go head to head. I have high hopes for Lats, but none of them include being able to take on Chara physically.

lol, it's going to be weird for Lats tonight...he isn't used to playing against someone who can physically dominate him.

You people who think Latendresse has any chance at winning a physical battle are blind homers. He might get a few good hits along the boards and I hope he does, but any test of strength goes to Chara easily. My God, you've gotta be insane to think Latendresse is something special for Chara. This is a guy who eats bigger and better players regularly.

Like I said, they probably won't be on the ice at the same time much anyways. And if they are, most physical contact will probably be along the boards. If Tender is finishing his checks he might land a good one. If there's battling for pucks, Chara will outmuscle him.

And again, these days, it's all about positioning and screening in front of the net. That's all he has to do. He doesn't have to go in there and take crosschecks, punches, and get pushed around in front of the crease. He stands there, makes sure he's screening the goalie and looks for rebounds.
Chara vs Latandresse w/ ne1 else on the team: Chara prolly still wins. Sorry but how hard is it to win a fight when u got like 20% longer reach then everyone.

Put it this way.

Legends say that before every game, Chara eats 6 fried chickens and a drinks a case of wine, without being full or getting drunk. Between periods he drinks an entire 6 pack to quench his thirst.

Chara once picked up a car full of people making fun of him.

Chara has been known to eat several Latendresse sized roasts in the same sitting.

I disagree strongly, the kid is 19 years and will play with Alex Kovalev after 8 games. It will take at least 1 season to lats just to get confortable, its normal.

I still can't believe how Chara is overrated. He is not gonna eat or trash anybody. We sent our soft team in front of him how many times last year when he was a Senator? and he never crushed anybody even our Fragile Koivu , our soft Sunstrum or our Lazy Bulis and Guess what ? Most of the times we won the games.

Boston have Chara and they still struggling as hell. So I still stand my point Chara is a lazy coward and will stay a lazy coward for the rest of his career.

**** Lats on the second line, even if he score twice, I don't know why moving up a 0-0-0 guys in 8 with -4 and demote a 2-2-4 and -1 on the fourth.

Lats on the fourth.

Did you have already heard Crosby or Ovechkin said they're nervous to playing top-6 minutes?

Anyway, Habs will win 5-2.

Higgins, Ryder, Sammy, Kovy, Lats

Boyes, Savard
what a dumbass!

Chara also body slammed Big John Stud and King Kong Bundy at the same time.

Bergfors played in Europe that's why.

Junior players can't play in the AHL until they are 20 years old.

If Latendresse goes out of his way to hit Chara, he may live to regret it. Besides, while that might be his role while playing on the fourth line, it could undermine his performance on the second line.

you're right. Not sure about that.

But you can ask many people on here, for junior aged players you have to be 20 years old to play in the AHL.

Latendresse can not play in the AHL this year. He is only 19.

His actual age doesn't matter, what matters is his junior age. His junior age is 20 so he can play in the AHL (he also played four years of junior hockey so he could play in the AHL even if he wasn't 20). His junior age is linked to his birthday, it's not his actual age.
