Why Does Hatcher Twitch?

Seriously. Have any of you ever watched a game and caught a shot of him on the bench? His eyes and face twitching like he's on something. I'm just curious.

I'm more curious as to why Brian Murray has the worst lisp known to man. How could anyone possibly be motivated by a coach that can barely speak?

You realize of course that having a twitch is often a sign of mental illness. Making that seem so much "lighter" than a lisp is really pathetic, have some respect.

I don't know why Murray can't speak, and you don't know why Hatcher twitches. Both could be completely superficial, or they could be the result of something more serious. I DON'T KNOW.

Have some respect for the genuine ignorance of posters.

No it is not just a sign of mental illness. My eye flickers (twitches) once in a while and mentally i'm fine, doctor says that happens to a lot of people. You should probably try to learn a few things, you can often develop a twitch if you are under severe pressure. Which i am sure Hatcher is with how poorly the flyers are playing.

I also get a twitch when i am under severe pressure or just stressed out of my ******* mind at work. well for me its like when someone puts ice down your back and your neck jerks, its like that but less severe than that, or its my hand or arm. Yeah stress can actually do that.

EDIT: i see this is sorta a joke to you. I'd rather not poke fun at a guy who was probably born with the lisp. As for Hatcher, i highly doubt he has a twitch but hey if he does have a mental illness you can always use the excuse "i didn't tell him to get a mental illness."

Hatcher has always twitched that I've seen. And I was making a point with you, I wasn't serious about mental illness.

You should try and learn a few things - such as not everyone knows the personal problems with every NHL personality.

If Murray has a lisp because of some sensitive issue like he bit down on his tongue during a car accident that killed his mother, then fine. But if he has a lisp for no real reason, I think it's hilarious. Because I'm dead serious, I'd find it hard to listen to him night in night out if I was his player.

exactly. twitching can also signify a neurological disorder.

but anyway...i've often wondered about his twitch. khabibulin has one too..

What a retarded double standard.

We can inquire about a twitch, but some ******* won't let me inquire about a lisp.

Aww, touchy are we? Resorting to name calling eh, wow real mature there. It's not my fault you don't know about such things as how people can develop a twitch without having a mental illness or neurological disorder, it can also be caused by stress.

I have a good friend that has a lisp (much like Murray's) and it's not something i really care to make fun of, just my choice, you can go ahead and make fun of his lisp. More power to you, not sure what that does for you, but whatever.

If he twitches every so often (say he twitches then a minute later he does it again) then it may be a mental illness or neurological disorder, from my experiences and from what my doc told me, if its quick twitches (like muscle spasms almost) and it comes and goes, like long gaps inbetween, then its most likely caused by stress. Unless its repetitive like i said before, of course i'm just goin by what i've been told from my doc.

this is hilarious, people are taking offense to the mental illness post....get a sense of humor geez, and you couldnt tell it was a joke?

anyway, he does twitch a ridiculous amount, and blinks excessively...Nitty twitches constantly too when he's in net, or even on the bench.

Seriously, though. I want to know. It really freaks me out when they show him. Like he's having a seizure or something.

I have a slight lisp, and have trouble saying S words quickly, I have trouble saying Sixth and Physics without thinking about it. I also stutter sometimes, not bad though.

As for him twitching. He has long hair. Sweat in his eyes? I blink a lot on the bench because of that.
