Here we go, I wonder if he will remain the enitre game on the second line I also wonder if Plekanec will last the entire game as well.

Well Sam on the 4 th that's silly

But Lats on the 2nd should be very interesting

Altough for me I would have shaken things up differently.

Pez-Plecks-Kovy
Sam-John-Lats
Begin-Bonk-Murray

That to me would get things going...

Or

Lats-Bonk-John
Sam-Begin-Mur ... still looks wierd, but I guess Sam wouldn't be on the PK, but would get lots of PP.

I guess in the end we didn't need Samsonov We could have used Kost or Lats.

Well, it's worth a try since the 2nd line hasn't been clicking at all.

Samsonov on the 4th however I don't know. That said, no other place for him though if Latendresse moves to the 2nd. No player on the 3rd line deserves to go down either.

We'll see. Carbo may however not be patient with Latendresse if he doesn't show spark in the 1 or 2 period.

OMG. That is SUCH a dumb idea by Carboneau. Sammy on the 4th line. That's like punishing a good player honestly. And promoting a bad one. I do think Lat needs to play on diff lines and such but come on!.

Shud be Sammy-Kovalev-Perez
then Johnson-Bonk-Plek

Well people will say sammy was not needed until the Habs suffer thier first winger injury of the season then he will be important.

OMG, seriously, this is a BAD decision by Carbo...

Samsonov was better then Kovalev and Plekanec first game, he play against Boston his ex and first NHL team and he'll play small shift on the 4th line ?

Perezhogin need top-2 line time, not Latendresse.

I don't hate this because I think Latendresse is wasted on the fourth line, but if anyone deserved to be moved up, it's Perezhogin. I don't like seeing Samsonov lower than the fourth line either, that just doesn't make any sense.

I also agree that Samsonov should not be on the 4th line...this is the same reason I criticized the Oilers last year, if you really want to get Sammy going, give him MORE icetime, not less. Plus I don't think Latendresse deserves a spot on the 2nd line. He really has done NOTHING to impress.

Okay, By saying Latandresse is wasted on the 4th line and shud be brought up, your essentially saying it it's less of a waste to have sammy on line 4. SAMMYS THE WASTE ON LINE 4.

it says:
"Selon ce que les journalistes présents à l'entraînement ont pu observer"
"According to what journalists have observed at the practice"

does it really mean this is what we'll see in tomorrow's game?
maybe they just wanted to try it out during practice?

otherwise... i'm floored...

Good point GSK, that fact it's Boston will make Sammy mad.......but a Sammy mad might produce better than a not mad.....

But I don't like how Lats with so little experience will be on a line with Kovy, Pleks is already shy with him imagine how Lats will be, Lats was just regaining some old preseason form, and then up on the 2nd line, where he will lose that confidence 'cause he'll always be looking for Kovy and all......Unless Kovy comes to him and say I'll look for you don't look for me......

But Sammy on the 4th against the Bruins, it's just sad to see......Will it last for the whole game, maybe not, I hope not......

But at one point, Perez will need to get some serious testing on the first 2 lines, we need to know if he really has that ability to finish......

I probably just would have switched Perez and Sammy but...we'll see this how this works. That 2nd line needs a bid bodied physical element, if Lats can keep up, and I think he can, he's looked faster recently, this line should click well.

Makes sense how?

I get that the 2nd line might have needed a bit of a jump, but what did Lats do to deserve this?

And Sammy on the 4th line? Wow, that's just a complete waste imo.

I actually thought Sammy had a decent game vs. Buffalo. Sure he's been somewhat disappointing so far, but playing him on the 4th line seems pointless.

I guess we'll see what Latendresse can do tomorrow. I won't judge Carbo just yet. But from what I've seen from Gui so far, he doesn't seem at all ready for that kind of ice time. Slow, and just wants to hit people. Doesn't care where the puck is or where it goes when he hits... He just wants to hit. That is what makes the fans chant his name afterall.

But hey, maybe playing with skill players instead of grinders will bring about the offensive side of his game.

If Sammy is going to play on the 4th line, he needs to be shopped. I know it's taboo to trade a UFA you just signed, but he can't be happy on a 4th line, and I'm sure some team would be willing to take a chance on him as his contract is not *outrageous* or anything.

TRUE BUT A 3.5M FILLER.

Lats is a filler so is Kost or Grabs.

And the 4th line can be filled with Ferland or Lapierre.

We have fillers. IMO it seems Sammy is not need. Altough if he was to produce it would help but really we already have Kovalev with a similar style.

This would be much simpler if A) the 2nd line had produce od B) We didn't signed Sammy and tried one of the young guns.

"Guy Carbonneau announced wednesday morning that the young quebecois forward will play on the 2nd line along with Alex Kovalev and Thomas Plekanec."

Be floored... Seems like the game will at least start that way. We'll see if it lasts the whole game.

This move is so dumb and premature, I won't believe it's fact until I see it on Thursday.

What's funny is that as if we lost the last 5 games, I guess Carbo don't want to lose 1 game in a row.....

Would you imagine if we lose against Boston???? Murray centering the 1st line, Kovy playing D with Huet and Rivet in net......

This move makes absolutely no sense. Latendresse has done nothing this season at all, besides consistently being one of our worst forwards. Demoting Samsonov, who has looked a lot better recently, against his former team makes it even worse.
