lars jonsson

played his first game tonight and got a point. i don't think you guys realize what type of offensive player you got in him.give him a 10 games or so and watch him help the pp. what do you flyer fans have to say about him.

i agree. he looked nervous and confused a bit at first, but he surprisingly seemed to get more icetime as the game progressed and he looked very comfortable. i've been a supporter since i watched him tear apart rookie camp

I'm excited to watch him grow.

At best, he blossoms into another dynamic player like Pitkanen

At worst, he's already better than Rathje and Hatcher.

I'll take either both option at this point.

take it easy on rathje, he is a very good player, you will see that.
hatcher on the other hand . cant hit the net ever then has an odd man rush going the other way after he gets his shot blocked annoying as hell.

I think he played well. I was most surprised with his passing. he was hitting some nice, long, tape to tape passes. his skating was as good as advertised...it's effortless. the Flyers might have gotten themselves an impact player for nothing.

he skates like a quick forward and passes very well

we'll see how his defensive play progresses but I did not notice any mistakes which is nice

This guy is good, and you can saw glimpses of what he brings last nite.
Give him a few weeks to get into the flow, and he's going to help our PP tremendously.

This is my first time seeing him. First, I never saw the jaw dropping speed I was expecting. Second, he is very aggressive, even on the point of the PP (where he was at his best), loves to skate in. Last night this wasnt a problem, but will eventually be sure to generate short handed chances. Third, was knocked off the puck and lost battles along the boards in the defensive zone.

Give him time though. The potential is definately there.

Lars is looking like he may turn into a very promising player for this organization. Can't wait to see how good he is after a full season with us.

He looked good, but remmember people, It is only one game. Lets wait a bit before we declair him a good pick up. I want to see him succeed, but you need to be real about it. This thread should not have been posted this early

you didn't see the speed difference when he was skating next to another player? I mean, he didn't do end to end rushes but his speed was obvious imo.

As long as he can pass and not make Hatcheresque give aways (hitting your own guy in the back from 10 feet away is ridiculous) I'd give him Hatcher's icetime.

I know what he's capable of offensively, what worries me is his defense.
