Seriously, either bench Kapanen or make him the 7th dman and get Sanderson out there.

http://www.nj.com/sports/times/index...640.xml&coll=5

Geoff Sanderson said he was surprised when coach John Stevens told him Thursday morning he would be a healthy scratch against Atlanta.

"I was happy with the way I've been playing," said the veteran forward, who is third on the team with two goals. "I was surprised because I was doing my job, I thought, but obviously I wasn't."

Stevens said his decision came down to sitting either Randy Robitaille or Sanderson.

"It wasn't an easy decision," Stevens said. "Randy Robitaille had played well as of late. We thought he deserved an opportunity to play on the top two lines. Sandy can move up and down the lineup. We just felt going into the first game at home maybe we needed a little more energy, a little more physical presence, that is why the decision was made to put Triston (Grant) in. For Geoff it was just a numbers thing, but he'll get back in here real soon."

Sanderson is likely to play tonight, with the rookie Grant, who played just 1:07 against Atlanta, sitting out.

those lines look much better with geoff in there IMO. now we can actually roll out 4 lines and eager's physical presence will actually be useful

Id like to see sanderson get some shifts with forsberg on the first line...i think that would work out well.

Depending on your monitor settings, it can look jumbled (mine at work is, at home it lines up perfectly).

Terrific job as usual Lion! It looks great!

I wish I could watch this game, but I'll be checking in later to get the story on the game. Update often fellas!

nah, you do... because it's actually fantastic that we've been this bad stastically... which is what no one is focusing on:

this team ain't nearly as bad as we've looked.

and here is why you should LOVE that our stats have been so awful... my friend, your friend... everyone that is a flyer fan's friend:

Quote:
The law of averages is a lay term used to express the view that eventually, everything "evens out." For example: Two very similar people who drive similar cars in similar circumstances over a long period of time will have roughly the same number of accidents. The more children one has, the more likely one has an equal division of boys and girls. The longer one flips a coin, the more likely the number of heads and tails will equalize.
source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_averages

which is why me harping on the young kids, and the reason why i was against Hitch/Clarke going, is actually pointing out a FANTASTIC thing for the next 73 games that we're going to play this year. we're at 8.8% right now... you really think we're going to settle at anything below a mid-teens PP? the WORST PP in the league last year was 12.2%. so, this team over the next 73 games should have a pretty decent power play run.

law of averages... it's your friend.

Carter, Calder, Umberger, and Richards are shooting at 2ish% right now... there is NO WAY that group will play 82 games at below 10% shooting. well, they might... but i won't live to see it. so they gotta bounce that thing to the 10+% over the next 73 games.

see, the good times are around the corner according to our friend... the law of averages. enjoy the ride... and you thought that the stats were depressing. nah, if we'd been losing with stats that one could actually explain as abiding by the law of averages you'd have a reason to be depressed.

we're winning the cup, clearly.

Aha, the monitor at your work must be set to 800x600 resoultion or lower then the lineups won't fit on a single row.
