Phantoms, salary vs Capspace.

Im confused.

If we were to send Hatcher and Rathje down to the farmteam, would they pay their salary, or would Philadelphia still be their emplyer capwise?

I assume they have oneway deals, which would equate in them getting the same ammount wherever they play, but if it isnt being drawn from Philadelphias nhl-organization...well you see where Im going with this. Is it possible?

Do the phantoms have a caplimit to live with aswell?

Phantoms are owned by Comcast/the Flyers. The Flyers still pay their salaries but they are off the cap.

I'll just add that the money that they have been payed while playing for the Flyers count against the cap.

=

380k for the days Nedved, Baumgartner, Dimitrakos and Cote soent with the Flyers.

Take the salary a player makes, divide it by the number of days there are in the regular season and that gives you the daily cap hit for each player. A player who is on the roster of the NHL team as of 5 pm (Eastern time) on each day of the regular season is charged to the team's cap. That is why a number of teams close to the cap move players down to the minors on non-game days or on game days where they will be a scratch.

Why not send those two hazards down to the minors, and make a couple of trades? Youd think they would let one or two draftpicks go when the situation is the way it is.
