Ducks-Thrashers

***** it! Back on the horse!

Vish back in, Havelid out. Same lines as we usually have, with Martensson filling in on the Rooch line for Nieds. For a change of pace, I'm watching the Atlanta broadcast. We know what we think about us. What do THEY think about us?

We've come out with a lot of jump as one might expect after last game.

Hey, finally someone gets called for a dive. Unfortunately, it was McDonald. Atlanta was called for making him dive. Four on four hockey.

Oop, 'nother penalty on the Ducks. Rooch for hooking. He's shaking his head in the box.

And Atlanta scores on the 4-on-3 power play. Walked in all alone on that one.

More sloppy play in the defensive zone almost leads to another turnover. Somewhere, Kevin Lowe is giggling and rubbing his hands together. Bye bye, Lupul!

Fight between Burnett and Lessard. Nice effort by Burnett. Got in several nice punches. Lessard got the takedown, but it was a "lets end the fight" takedown. Arankys, DieHard, please wipe your hands before posting.

And, a game misconduct for Burnett. Jersey wasn't tied down. Unless this is another Simpson thing where the refs just screwed up, I'd say Burnett just signed his ticket to Cincy. How stupid can you be?

Penalty on Petrovicky for charging Ozo. Thrashers announcers thought it should have been elbowing.

Finally Babcock takes Havelid out. I've been complaining about him for weeks.

Why do you think having his jersey come off in a fight should send him to Cincy???

This is cool. I'm going to break some sort of record here for consecutive posts on a GDT.

We almost gave up a shorty, but it wasn't a bad PP. Lots of shots in the zone. We're swarming right now. Hope we can keep it up.

Damn you for posting and breaking my streak.

After his idiotic antics in the Columbus game, not having his jersey tied down is what will get him send down. I mean, Jesus, he has one job out there, right? And he doesn't tie down his jersey so he can do it?

Kovalchuk and Sykora, two minutes each for being European. Four-on-four hockey. Yikes, and Savard almost scores again. Dunno how Jiggy kept that out.

Atlanta almost scores again. You know, I think we may suck four-on-four.

He's actually been very shaky. Atlanta feed isn't giving anything as far as replays, so I don't know how he kept that one Savard shot out.

We're getting some offensive chances. Ducks almost score on the rebound off a Feds slapper. Chistov crashing the net. Go Stan!

The tiedown probably got broken. He of all players would use the tie down every game. I don't think Babcock is mad that he got thrown out, but was probably mad about the Columbus penalties...

Chistov gets a penalty for falling down on the puck. We're dodging bullets here. This could be as bad as 3-0, 4-0. If something doesn't change, we're going to get worked again.

If the tiedown got broken, then it's a ref screwup. I'm saying if it's not, if Burnett didn't tie his jersey down, he's a goner.

burnett and Loussard had many battles in the minors...usually enforcers/goons make sure to tie it down when they know they will fight.

its very possible it could have been broken.

You're probably right, but there wasn't any protest from Burnett or Babcock. You'd think there would have been some reaction.

They tend to check to see if they're broken.

Anyway, the Thrashers could be up 3- or 4-0 after that period. Apparently the lesson hasn't taken.

We need to start a campaign to move Prospal and Sykora with Fedorov against atlantas defense that line would generate a ton of scoring OPPS

I always like Kloucek. Anyone know why he didn't pan out in New York?
