Nice team work , there is a lot of stuff to build on.

Good:

-Abby was amazing.
-Higgins keep playing like our best foward
-2nd line seem to work very well
-Bégin 1st goal wooooo!!!
-Best game from Lats so far
-The D looked solid in the 2 1st periods
-The PK was god-like

Bad:

-Many stupid hooking penalty
-No one went at Vermette after he ran over abby

Ugly:

-The littles helmets they gave to the fans

Next game in Carolina, can't wait to see if someone will go after Williams

I sense something bad for Komi.....Like I said, seems that he went immediately to the dressing room after he was hurt, he had to think it was kinda serious....

Just noticed your avatar--Le Samurai. Love that movie!

Good game for the Habs tonight.

Kovy line looking good!

Tender (who I've been critical of) is looking confident and definitely played his best game tonight. And layed a monster hit! Let's hope the progress continues.

Abby looked sharp, although I still cringe on some of the big rebounds.

Didn't we use to fear the Senators? They don't seem so tough anymore.

Well, I like the lines now. No need to change them. Also, I liked the defensive restructuring in the last 5 minutes or so.

I was disapointed. I hope he posts pics, because it sounded like a hilarious poster.

I can just picture a big T-Rex with Komo's head on it.

Hits & Misses

+ Carbo doing The Locomotion after the win. I mean come on. We went from Bob Gainey to Guy Carbonneau. I expected it to be a change, but *******!!! THE LOCOMOTION?!?
+ Streit doing everything on the ice. Even checking. And he can't check worth a lick, but he's sure throwing his body at people if he needs to. And as a reminder, I told you he'd be good while you people laughed at me.
+ Johnson/Bonk/Latendresse are excellent at the puck possession game.
+ Liked how Kovalev/Samsonov/Perezhogin played.
+ Aebischer was good.
+ Feel good for Begin having scored.
+ Empty Net Game Winner. Can't beat that.
+ Maybe Chris Higgins being God (For those who believe in those kind of things...) CAN beat that.

- NOT KOMISAREK!!! TAKE NIINIMAA!!! TAKE NIINIMAA!!! DON'T TAKE KOMISAREK AWAY GOD OF INJURIES!!!
- You've probably figured it, I don't like Niinimaa. If Streit's the one that's scratched when one of our injured guys comeback, I riot. Niinimaa manages to be defensively efficient in PK and totally worthless on 5 VS 5.
- Some was wrong with Koivu. Injury eh?
- Ryder & Souray were well scouted. It's not that they didn't play well, it's just that they didn't get chances to get their great shots.

niniimaa is slowly but surely becoming the player he was with the Stars.. I am nervous whenever he touches the puck. Souray wasn't as bad as usual on D tonight.

Lats played awesome tonight, I was sure he was gonna score on that shot that hit the post.. He needs to work on his skating, but so far so good, he ain't hurting us.

Aebischer is really making a big bid to be the clear #1 goalie with his recent games.

I can't stand Niinimaa. Bad, bad, bad.

Hope Komi's alright, can't afford losing him now, too. The kids... Higgins, Perez, Lats. Awesome.

Quiet GDT tonight. Good win, I love being able to watch at least part of the game when I'm at work. TVU rules.

You missed it. After the game as he went back to the room. He totally did the Locomotion with his hands.

Lats best game so far imo, what a hit he had on Preissing, bet he felt that one!

Higgins with an SH goal

Perezhogin with some good work on the Kovalev goal.

Abby played well but he did have some troubles with rebounds. Still, I've been really impressed with him so far, havent been a big fan of his in the past, would be great if he can play like this all year.

Komisarek I hope the shoulder is ok, he's been really solid for the most part.

i think he thinks he figured out the combinations in the lineup with tonights result. I only watched the 3rd (friggin Halloween ) but, I like these lines. They seem to distribute what is needed on every line. And it gives everybody the ice they need, except maybe plaks gets the short end of the stick. But when we roll 4 lines it really works. Also i liked carbos lines in the last few minutes. Everything seems to be falling into place.

Earlier ppl talked about Kovy going to Center to fix our problem there. I guess it may be the best thing to do after all

Man were almost there, We need another top D man and were cup bound.

From NHL.com recap:
...Canadiens D Mike Komisarek injured his right shoulder in the third period. He will be re-evaluated Wednesday. ..

Please, please be OK, Komi has been our best defensive D this year, we cannot afford to lose him (Traverse)

Did anyone notice how out of position the Hab forwards were on the Eaves goal? Bonk was standing around and Lats was high at the left point, as though nothing was happening behind him. They deserved their -1s.

Aebischer gives big rebounds. Fortunately, the Sens didn't take advantage of them.

Edit: The goal was scored by Spezza, not Eaves.

well, it was a weak shot. I never expected that puck to go thru. Besides, what was Lats supposed to do? He has to worry about the left point. The puck was on the other side. Spezza was perfectly cornered. He just threw the puck on the net and it had eyes.

Exactly...no one's to blame, it was just a fluke goal.

Higgins.

Aeby.

Lats with a very mucho solid game, didn't expect that kind of performence after a so so game vs the Laffs. Great game for his linemates too. I retract my pree-game comments about this line, seemed to me they were the most reliable line tonight.

2nd line didn't click too much, individual plays made them look ok on some occasions, but chemistry still not there yet... it will come.

Koivu and Ryder looking a little out of their game lately.

Markov had a very solid game. Rivet with a few noticable mistakes again.

Komi hurt...

IMO a ****ing borring game, but we stacked some points.

Yes there is, blame Spezza. He ruined Abby's shutout bid.

I caught some highlights and the last period from CH Express and don't really understand all the "first line was invisible" comments...they got a lot of solid chances (even in the little bit that I saw) but just didn't finish. Unless they were totally MIA in the first period? Either way, we won and that's what counts
