Jason Krog

Im just wondering a few things. Has he been keeping up the good play? And does anyone think there's a possibility of him being called up sometime within the next month? If he's still playing well, I think we should give him a shot with the big club.

Liberation, your avatar should be "NO MORE HARTLEY"

Hnidy, Kapanen, and Rucchin play...while the team misses McCarthy, Metropolit, and Krog.

I agree, Hnidy blows... but Kapanen is serviceable (especially 3rd or 4th line), and Rucchin has been decent recently. BTW, anybody notice where Hartley took a nod from me and stuck Holik on a line Kovalchuk? Woo!

I expect McCarthy to replace Hnidy against the Canes. I really hope we call up Krog and give him a shot with one of the top two lines.

Jason Krog had 3 goals and 4 assists last night in a 10-5 win for the Wolves. He has a sick 25 points in 12 games.

How's about calling this guy up and giving him a chance?

A little over 2 points per game.

Wow...I hope that Don Waddell is seriously thinking about calling this guy up. Sticking him on a scoring line or on the Powerplay might be good idea.

Krog also became the first player in nearly 8 years to score 7 points in an AHL game last night. Krog also leads the AHL in points and has at least a point in every game this season.

Needless to say Krog is dominating the AHL. He's been amazing!

maybe both krog and haydar should be called up. THey are 1 and 2 in AHL points this season. Maybe that new hampshire chemistry could do the thrashers well.

It will be interesting when they do finally get called up. It's always fun to watch elite AHL scorers reveal themselves as fringe NHL players, which is where I think those two guys really are. I could be wrong, though, and we will eventually find out.

Last night was his second hattrick of the season, as he got one our first game of the season.

Let's not leave Brett Sterling out the love-fest. Playing on the line with Haydar and Krog, he had 2 goals and 3 assists in last night's drubbing of the Peoria Rivermen. He is 8th in the league is scoring with 14 points (6G, 8A) in 11 games.

Call Krog up now and put him on the PP.

Sterling will make the NHL eventually.

The team has an open roster spot, as I recall. They could call up somebody anytime they felt like paying them an NHL salary.

I'm not saying or even suggesting that Krog is going to score at a 2 points per game clip in the NHL, but I think he might be able to make an impact. It's not like the some of the centers they have right now are world-beaters. I'd give Krog a shot.

Its not that Krog doesnt deserve to be up here, its more of a question of who do we send down? The only person that I can think that we could send down is, as people have already mentioned, is Metro. But that being said, and this has also been mentioned, if things are going well, why shake things up? I think if sometime down the road, we lose a few in a row, then Metro goes down and Krog comes up.

Nice avatar/user name Boognish

I have a hard time believing they send metropolit down, and no way on kapanen either. Not that I'm happy with kapanen at all, I just don't see him getting sent down. Unless they start losing, I don't forsee any call-ups until there is an injury. They are 10-3-3, which last time I checked, isnt too bad.

Anyone else think we should bring up Krog for a shot soon?

yeah, we should bench either Slater or Kapanen.

But that do not solve our D issue which is a much bigger problem.

That and a remedie to remove Lehtonen curse.
