Good for us. I'd rather draw Calgary than them, and we might be facing whichever one of those two doesn't win the division.
Though something tells me Calgary in the playoffs is a different animal than in the regular season, where we've owned them.
Personally, give me Vancouver or, preferably, Colorado. I don't want to face Calgary. Maybe I'm jaded from the past, but the last thing I want to face is a defensive team that will try to neutralize our speed. That can be hard to do in the regular season but the playoffs are another story altogether. Who knows what the refs will and won't allow this time around.
The Sharks have finally recalled Steve Bernier from Worcester (AHL). If he regains the chemistry he showed with Marleau and Michalek late last season and earlier this season prior to his demotion he could basically be considered a trade deadline acquistion.
The Michalek - Marleau - Bernier line can be pretty dominant when clicking and definitely provide San Jose with a second line to contend with. Along with the development of Joe Pavelski this season and their improving injury situation, I think the Sharks are about to make a push down the stretch heading into the playoffs.
