Ozo's beens good so far. Keep it up.

I really wish though Renney would use him what we traded him for..to be our PP QB...but for some reason Rozsival still holds that spot.

For the most part, the 2nd PP unit (Anchored by Ozo and Rachunek) looked better than the first unit tonight.

Malik will draw the ire of the crowd (but he had a good game too last night)

I don't think anyone had what you would call a "bad" game last night.

I agree. I wonder what woke them up. They looked like the team from last season for the first time.

It will be unbelievable if anyone boo's Ozo on Sunday. If they do, they obviously aren't a Rangers fan. Anyone who has been watching the team will have seen that he is playing solidly and is a totally different player than he was last year.

Congrats to him for turning things around. I think he'll find out soon that NY fans appreciate hard work, and if you work hard and play smart, you can turn the crowd around.

Unless you are Tom Poti.

The guy is a 7 time all star. Right now this team needs someone to lead the way solid on D and he has been that guy

Pom Toti never turned anything around except the direction of our own forwards skating through the neutral zone!

Ive always been excited for Ozolinsh and last nights game...watching ville make a dirty run and ozo play a good game....I'm happy that we did the trade.

He wont get booed but i highly doubt he'll have any reaction until he starts putting the puck in the net, which wont start happening untill he is on the PP.

On the bright side Rozsival is shooting the puck more on the PP...like he has to defend that time. Hopefully Renney is considering Ozo or atleast Cullen for pointman PP.

Respect for the other team. They seemed to honestly fear these past two teams and understand that at any moment the tide can turn and they can be down a few goals. There is nothing wrong with a healthy fear/respect of another team

2 games does not a solid defenseman make. Is there anyone here who can honestly say that they do not cringe when Ozolinsh is on the ice? Or Malik? I need more than 2 good games from the former and 1 from the latter before I stop holding my breath anytime that they are on the ice.

TB your right for being skeptical, I am as well, but his play thus far is better than any of his games last season IMO. I dont think anyone is ready to throw him a parade just yet, but people are more or less, suprised/happy that he has played as solid as he has. Is he making unbelivable plays, no, but he is playing smart, and thats the big diffrence from these few games to what happened last season. Just how I see it, but what do I know

Yes. My mantra for the defense is "Do or do not". Much fear can cause the defensemen to succumb to the dark side.

Ozolinsh was good

But there were a few times his body positioning was off (and he knew it), once with Marleau behind the net, but for the most part he played the puck pretty well...

Id like to see him (and the rest of the d) hit the net more with their point shots.

The guy on the blueline that stood out in my estimation was Tyutin... he had a fantastic game (and no one on MSG really mentioned it), used the body, skated well, made good decisions with the puck... very sturdy last night. A quiet but very effective game for him...

this is 3 or 4 games now in a row, you really havent noticed Tyutin because his play has been so quietly solid. Hes really coming around and i think having him paired with Ward is really helping him.

I new I'll live to see Ozo appreciation. Renney wisely brings him up making him play stay-at-home first which is the easier of the two D jobs no matter what some ignorant folks think. So he's got the easier job and made a good impression already. The real test will come when he start to do what he does best and will be asked to move the puck. That may not come any time soon, since Kaspar is in bad shape and is not ready to help him out. Rachunek is a puck mover himself and does a good job as per last game, although I think Renney ask him to stay back more since they are backing up the bottom 6 forwards. We will see what Renney would decide.

this guy ozolinsh has now played in 5 games since coming back from his injury. the early-struggling ranger have won 4 of those games. maybe just a coincidence, or maybe the ozo-affect is wat greater then we all think.

beware when he starts putting points on the board!

I agree. I applaud Renney for playing him on the road and building some confidence before bringing him home to what could be a hostile environment to him.
