Who is the best player in the OHL ???
A question for those of you who get to watch the league on a regular basis.
I'd like to hear some opinions since the Flyers have arguably 2 of the top 5-7 players in the O.

Last year I may have went with Locke or maybe even Foy.............But this year the guy who has impressed me most is Corey perry.....
He seams to "create " more than Locke .............and a year younger.....
I think he may be closed to stealing Locke's place on WJ squad.....

Corey Perry is having a great year. He's still a little weak on his skates, but he's improved so much compared to last year.
If I were to choose the best all-round player, Daniel Paille from Guelph would be right up there - strong offensively and defensively - he does it all. (However, if Eric Staal is sent back, he jumps into the #1 spot instantly).
The Flyers have two of the best in the OHL - no question!

I was talking about Carter and Richards.... (oops - I didn't even think of Ruczika, but he's certainly making his mark so far!)

I'd go with Wisniewski as the best player.

I don't think Ruzicka should be considered, good player, but not the best in the league, one of the elite group though.

I have to agree with OneSpeedOnly, right now I think Jeff Carter may be the top player in the league.

That's very tough, there really isn't a clear cut choice IMO. I'd say that guys like Jeff Carter, Patrick O Sullivan, James Wiesnewski, Corey Locke, Corey Perry could all be the best.

Jeff Carter looks like the very best some games, and other games you can't even find him.

I would have to say either Perry or Carter right now...Perry is on a wicked streak.

True, but it think Corey Perry is extremely overrated. His game can survive in the Ohl but i'm not sure if he'll ever be an impact nhler. He's not strong enough, can't take a hit and won't take one to make a play.He gets knocked off the puck easily and is overall poor physically on both sides of the ice.

I would have agreed with you last year, but hes turned is game around this year and is playing more physically at both ends of the ice. As far as being an impact NHLer, we'll have to wait to find out.

The question was "Who is the best player in the OHL" not the NHL, so who cares if he will be pushed around in the NHL.
Perry is the best in the lleage so far this year.
Paille and O'Sullivan are close seconds.

I disagree,he plays with an extremely talented and high scoring team which is a reason for his big point totals. Put him on SSM,he would be a minus player with not nearly as many points as Carter has.
Plus,i don't like him because he's a HUGE whiner.

I give the nod to Rob Schremp. The fact that he's had to spend some time with Dan Bois and the Hunter kids makes his accomplishments even better. :p

Yes, but he also picked Corey Perry!
Actually, I love how Jarrett plays - he gives it everything he's got every shift. I wish he'd take the night off when they play Kitchener though!
