Could Forsberg fit in Montreal ?

Could he fit in our system

He'd be great with Kovalev in my opinion.

We could trade something like this

To PHI
Souray
Koivu

To MTL
Forsberg

Higgins-Forsberg-Kovalev

What do you think ?

Koivu has a no-trade clause anyway.

Guys, it's just a little kid trolling. Howzabout, next time someone gets sucked in they have to show up at the meet'n'greet and buy a round ?

I'd do Koivu for Frosberg, but Souray stays

Koivu's retiring a Hab.
I don't know why people still bring up a trade possibility like this

Koivu brings more to Habs than Forsberg has been able to bring for Flyers. More production pointswise with less powerplay time and he kills penalties too. Then theres his impact for Habs lockerroom ... theres no telling how Foppan would react getting traded. Finally ... we would get to keep Koivu for next couple years - Forsbergs contract will be up again next summer.

Ok its seems you don't want to trade Koivu.

I'm wondering who else they'd take and without teams going over the cap

Aren't you the same clown that said Marc Savard was the best playmaker in the NHL? Plus, this isn't "your" system, since you're not a Habs fan, you're a well known Canucks homer that pretends to be a Leafs fan. And there's no way Koivu gets traded. The NTC aside, Koivu has been the heart and soul of this team for years, and I wouldn't even give up a draft pick for that flopping diver named Peter Forsberg.

Well, actually I think it could be an interresting idea come trade deadline.. Not for Koivu or Souray for that matter..

But It could bring this team to a whole new level, even if it's only for 2 months.. I don't really care.
