Huet's Stats...

I did some quick calculations after the game tonight:

Goals against average: 27/14 = 1.93
Save Percentage: 388/415 = 0.935%

Number one in the league for both stats.

(Hopefully I didn't mess those up....)

I hugely doubt he would end the year with those kind of stats so it is almost definitely a moot point but I will ask anyway, does anyone think a goalie would have a shot at winning the Vezina playing only 55 games if they ended the year with stats good enough to?

That's not how you calculate GAA
you take the number of minutes played divide by 60
then you divide the number of goals by that number.
he's still in the 2.something

edit: 2.10 GAA. Is what is comes down to.

Isn't that like EXACTLY the save % he had last year? You the man Cristo

edit - my bad he was 929 at the end of last season, I coulda swore he was around 935 forever though. Still #1 in teh NHL last year...and let me check...YUP, #1 again this year!!

The shootout goals are (for stats purposes) phantom goals. They don't exist.

Actually, Cristo is still #1 in the league for both because Emery went up to 2.18 after tonight's game which makes Cristo first.

Hasek was a 2.06 I dont know if it changed since.

But it dosent matter. Huet is the king right now he's faced alot more shots per game then Hasek.

Hasek faces like 10 shots a game (less than 20 anyway).

You mean TSN, who on Sportscentre tonight listed Miller's save percentage as 1.000 19/19. I don't consider anywhere except NHL.com as a reliable source for statistics.

Yeah I noticed that, too. They also had some other games' goalie stats wrong. Boucher was listed as .700 or something, when he let in goals on 3 of 4 shots faced. (i.e. .250)
