GDT: New York Rangers @ Florida Panthers 7:30PM

@
(7-6-1) ------- (6-7-2)

BankAtlantic Center

TV: FSNY - Pregame: 7pm
Radio: 1050ESPN

Panthers – 5-2-0 at home – Last game: W 4-2 vs. Toronto (Thursday)
Rangers – 5-2-0 on road – Last game: OTL 4-3 vs. Buffalo (Sunday)

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Panthers -- Power play: 22.2 percent (14 for 63).
Penalty killing: 81.5 percent (75 for 2).

Rangers - Power play: 19.3 percent (16 for 83).
Penalty killing: 83.3 percent (70 for 84).

Auld is due up next in the rotation for the cats, but you might see Belfour since he won the last meeting in the Garden.
As far as the Rangers go... who knows, the easy guess is Lundqvist. Im sure we'll all know shortly.

Keep it simple, avenge the loss!!

I would say there is no doubt it's Lundqvist.

I need to see Jagr playing before making any predictions. If he is back to what he was at the season beginning after that fall, we are doomed.

Ouch. Thats just bad. I have Lundy on my team too, and he aint no help... Cristobal Huet is my other goalie, and he is doing well for my team.

We have to stop thinking that Jagr is the team, he's not. The only exception was the last game, in which he dominated, we have 6 other wins. He only played like himself against Buffalo. If we consentrate on D like we have as of late, the goals will come. We have plenty of offensive power. Our D and Goaltending just need to be there.

LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed WB, though Jagr does control the puck alot and his dominance in the zone helps the defense.

I agree. In fact, if Jagr is even a little off in warm-ups, the Rangers shouldn't even attempt to play the game and should just fly to Atlanta.

This would be a nice game for the 3rd and 4th lines to contribute some offense to compliment the top 2 lines..We need it from them...HOLLY with a goal---finally...

I predict a 6-3 Rangers win

Goals for Rangers: Tyutin, Shannahan, Prucha, Hall, Straka (2)

Goals for the Panthers, Campbell, Jokinen, Weiss

Lundqvist back

Quote:
As expected, the Rangers are turning to the forgotten (not really) Henrik Lundqvist tonight against the Florida Panthers, and will be otherwise employing the same lineup they used in Sunday’s overtime loss to Buffalo

I agree. They should just call it a night. No point in allowing our defense to endure another game of cleaning up the mistakes of our forwards and goalie. They're practically flawless in their own end. If only the forwards would stay back and the goalies stop every shot, we'd be in better shape.

I have faith that they will take it to the Panthers tonight. If they keep it simple and play smart D then smart offense they will be able to win this game. I'm happy to see that Henrik will be in net again, hopefully the D can support him like they have been doing for Weekes over the last few games.

LETS GO RANGERS

Lets go Rangers. We need to get on the right track and stay on it. Wins in Anaheim and San Jose, an OTL with Buff, and a win in South Florida could help guide us in the right direction

"Just processing the game at this level and this speed," Renney said when asked what is holding _______ back. "The way it's played. He needs exposure to it in order to assimilate those things. The bottom line is as he gets his opportunities to play - and he will - he'll have a better chance to develop the requirements of a solid NHL _________. Having said that - and it goes back to your original question - we've got to give him the chance."

Thats what hes been saying for either Dawes or Pock.

You can just fill in the blanks accordingly.

Hey guys, good luck tonight. If I had to project the lines, it could be something like:

Peltonen-Jokinen-Horton
Olesz-Nieuwendyk-Stumpel
Roberts-Weiss-Kolnik
Gelinas-Campbell-Gratton

Bouwmeester-Allen
Salei-Van Ryn
Mezei-Montador

Belfour

Of course Roberts and Olesz may interchange, and I'm not sure that Montador will be the 6th D over Kwiatkowski or Jackman, but something like that.
