When do you think the slump is going to end?

The Rangers have been 4-1-1 in the last 6 games, tallying up 9 out of a possible 12 points. When do you think the Rangers are going to break out of the .500 play?

We are getting most of our wins by the skin of our teeth. Not a good way to be playing.

Give it a month or so.

This slump ends with Malik and Rozsival. They have been absolutely bashed from all directions, but rightfully so. They have been defensively horrid.

7 out of 8 points is a nice pace don't you think??

The Rangers aren't playing as well as they should and certainly could've/should've lost the Florida game but this is the Jorts of polls..

The old saying is, "Good team still win games they shouldn't" (or something like that), and the four past wins we've won, 3 of them could have really went either way, but we came out on top, tonight was one of those game we shouldn't have won, Lundqvist kept us in the game with some huge saves in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd period.

If this team starts playing a full 60 minutes and playing solid defense all game....its going to be tough for teams to beat us (I'll use the Ducks game as an example as I thought even though we won a close won in OT...we played a complete game..against a top team who still hasn't lost in regulation)

Baby steps.

We're slowly working our way back to playing better hockey.

Very nice pace, but I don't like going to OT so much... 3 out of 4 games. We are giving away too many points to our conference opponents. Hey, I agree that it is nice to see this team get it done in the extra session, it shows great character or something. But I'd like for them to balance some of it out with some regulation wins.

If I have to choose between what slump, Or a month. I choose what slump only because it looks like starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm going to go with my own. 2 weeks. I think we're going to lose to Atlanta, we'll see about Washington.

OT: did you guy's know 400 seats at the Verizon center are $50.00
I looked it up because I'm going to Maryland this weekend, and naturally what's the one thing I can think about? Anyway, I doubt I'll be able to fit the game in, but just thought that was astronomical, and wanted to share.

The team has won four out of five games on the road and got a point at home against a hot as a pistol Burffalo team. And the team is still trying to find it's bearings. Hard to say they're in a slump. If anything, I'd say they're trending upward.

If and when jagr starts scoring more is when we all will be more comfortable knowing our defense has been poor, and that should help ease everyones anxiety about these road wins. Defense needs to play 60 minutes and challenge the opposition by the end of the 2nd period they just skate backwards and don't do much.

I am in between "What slump?" amd "Never". As of today this team cannot play better. Even if Slats replaces Rozy and Malik with Pronger and Niedermeyer tomorrow (calls to replace those two come from the fans that have no clue about what is that hockey defenseman is supposed to do), it would be the same.

Jagr has bad shoulder and cannot shoot. Shanahan has bad back and can no longer shoot either. Well, they do shoot the puck, but the quality of thier shots is about as same as that for Lundqvist's goaltending, it's sorta ok... Thaks to Straka we were even on score board, but four players (Straka, Jagr, Nylander and Shanahan Re not enough for projected Cup contender. We still could make a playoffs, though.

I'd say soon. I'm still waiting on a fully healthy Jagr (basically his shooting to return to 100%) and Lundqvist to shake whatever has been making him underperform. Oh and for the defense to settle down a bit more.

Exactly. 3 games on the road, 3 games against winning teams.

I put "what slump", mainly because like other have said they have gotten 7 out of a possible 8 points, that doesnt sound like a slump to me.

Still have a lot to work on... but

The Rangers are slowly becoming the road warriors of the league.

Not yet up to par with the juggernauts Buffalo Nashville and Atlanta are, but not too far off either, especially if they can manufacture a win tomorrow.

If they can start playing a little looser at home, like last year (a big win or two can remedy that)
theyll really start to string'em together.

if the last 4 games were playoff games, we would only be 1 win away from advancing to the next round no matter how crappy we played to get there!

We're fortunate to be winning while playing this kind of hockey. Hopefully we'll look back at this period in another 4 months and think "jeez we got lucky" instead of "jeez those few easy points killed us."

What does that even mean? Yeah, the flyers played another great game tonight, Keep your nonsense on your side of the fence, or least hold off till they're playing each other.

Lets see how the Rangers fare against possibly the 2nd (maybe even best) team in the league tonight....Atlanta.

This could be yet another measuring stick game, in a month full of measuring stick games.
