Their scoring chances were just gifts. LA had a ton of shots, most were from 30 feet (10 meters) and SJ had half the shots from 1/3 the distance with traffic and room to skate. It would be too easy just to blame the goaltending.
People were very quick to think the Kings had a solid defense coming into the season, but DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR, this is shaping up to be the worst defense in the NHL. You're supposed to get what you pay for, but on this team, you get what you've OVER PAID for. There are six million reasons to get nauseous watching Rob Blake in the defensive zone. It never really gets better after that.
