GDT: Flyers @ Penguins

We dropped a 3-0 lead the last time around as we watched them steal a point from us at home, let's hope our fate is better this time around. Esche will be getting the nod and putting his 6 game win streak on the line.

Flyers 4 (Gagné 2, Williams, Amonte)
Penguins 1 (Tarnstrom)

Just like last time i think the Flyers take the Pens lightly. despite Hitch's warnings not to do so.
Flyers looking ahead to the holiday and the Islanders game this weekend. this has all the makings if an upset.
But the Flyers should and will prevail. Pens make em work for it thou

Flyers 4 (Williams,Desjardins,Recchi,Handzus)
Pens 2 (Tarnstrom,Fata)

Looking forward to seeing Fleury play for the 1st time. Sounds like the kid is having a good year so far.

I look for a big win tonight, 5-0. The flyers have been very consistent with their effort the last 10 games and don't think they let up tonight. Go flyers.

Fleury isnt getting the start, Edzo announced Caron as the starter for this game.

Let's take care of business, escape injury free, and grab the 2 points!

From Ed Moran's article today:

Fedoruk said he has been rubbing the area hard and punching himself to see whether he's ready.

"I think I'm ready to play," he said yesterday.

i guess you know you're a goon when...

It must have been one heck of a punch to give the Fridge that much damage, i can't imagine having metal plates and screws lodged into my cheek.

Well we got a point, and where injury free.
Let's hope we get a better effort Friday, and especially Sat. Nite in Long Island!

I found the game to be extremely boring last night, i don't know if it was the ridiculous amount of whistles or just the lack of emotion, but the first period was absolutely snoozeville and it picked up a little as the game progressed. Give credit to Caron for having a big game and especially shutting the door on Somik late and on Williams twice in OT.
I guess John's preminition of 5 points might come true after all.
