Hemsky

A Hemsky 1 1 +2 4
Is this guy back on his game or what. 2 points, plus 2, and the amazing 4 shots on net. And I'm pretty sure he had a couple of shots that were blocked in the game. I thought he played great and Isbister seemed to play off of him very well.

IMO, Hemsky probably played a little better than Isbister today. Did you see that backcheck on Cassels I think? Saved a goal for sure as the pass was cross crease.. nice..

he definately looked good with Isbister and Stoll. Stoll allows hemsky to play more creatively, kindda like when Marchant was playing with Hemsky, and Isbister is the power forward that can hussle for the loose pucks. I'm afraid this line will probally be changed once Oates is in the line up.

Hemsky - Oates - Smyth
Dvorak - York - Torres
Pisani - Stoll/Reasoner - Moreau
Isbister - Horcoff - Laraque/Salmo

Too bad for Izzy, he's been turning it on of late, but knowing MacT he'll recognize his fine play by playing him on the fourth line.

I thought they worked well. I wouldn't be surprised if Hemsky-Isbister work a second line after Oates is inserted. Isbister has been driving to the net and guess who's been getting rebound goals? Torres-Dvorak seems to have run out of steam and I happen to think Smyth and Dvorak would team well.

Maybe:

Smyth Oates Dvorak
Isbister York Hemsky

Although I have to say I'm not sure if Oates will be up to having 1st line minutes and still perform on the PP where, lets fact it, his main value will be.

Hemsky played pretty wicked tonight...except I always miss his goals live. His last two goals were scored when I was taking a leak...

At least he was shooting pretty good today. For someone who doesnt shoot much he was firing quite nicely.

Torres and Dvorak have been running out of steam? Actually it seems to me the total opposite. Another beauty goal tonight, good efforts by both in the Heritage Classic, and last week against Chicago each scored and added assists. They have not slowed or run out of steam. That has been the most consistent offensive threat game in and game out.

yeah dvorak-york-torres has been the best line all year... bar none

and when oates draws in most people seem to think the lineup will look like this:

smyth-oates-hemsky
torres-york-dvorak
moreau-reasoner-pisani/chimera
isbister-stoll/horcoff-laraque/salmo

with horcoff and stoll sharing the spot and the same for laraque and salmo.... though personally i think stoll should be an automatic choice over horcoff, their level of play hasnt even been comparable..... and i would think salmo would get some fairly good playing time agaisnt the smaller, "softer" team.... pisani and chimera would also prolly share time, depending on whose "going" or not

Maybe you should take leaks more often?
