Thrash living dangerously and it caught of with them, Bolts (Craig) finally score on their 5th PP, 1-0 for them. 90% of the 1st period played in the Thrasher end...crap another penalty on Hossa crashing a guy that boarded him earlier...end 1st, Bolts still have over a minute of PP left...We're in big trouble if they don't get it together.

Huge number of penalties against us... Come on, how are we doing in the offensive zone?

Thrash looking better in the 2nd until ANOTHER holding penalty on Larsen. TB scores (Fedotenko) on a shot from the point deflected in by Havelid. No luck tonight.

This is just insane...
We have played almost one entire period with a man down (16 mins).

Well everyone, Im leaving as I can't stand to watch this horrific display any longer. I feel like Im watching the 1999-2000 Thrashers all over again. Lehtonen looks horrid, Kovy and Hossa can't capitalize at all and Hartley isn't helping anything at all.

Maybe we can get things in order for the next game.

One good thing about this game - Hossa got 2 goals and an assist. That gives him 30 points... + now we have the top 3 players on the scoring charts...

Damn these penalties are pissing me off! We are currently #1 in times shorthanded and our PK slipped to "normal Thrashers level."

Sutton (33), Holik (26), Slater (24) and Mellanby (24) are topping the penalty happy Thrashers. I say that DW needs to get rid of Sutton, before it's going into the important phase of the season. Slater is doing his best impression of Savard.

Now they have 5 days (11/17 vs. Dallas) to refocus and work on penalties taken & goaltending.

Just watching the replay...how on earth does Tampa get a penalty shot AND a 5 minute major on the same play...and at the same time Vinny LeGoon gets nothing for thugging Sutton up from behind right afterwards?

Those refs had better get a talking to from the NHL, they made a couple of dumb decisions which cost the Thrashers any shot at coming back.

Ummm...Cuz them's the rules.

A minor penalty for slashing, the non-offending team gets the penalty shot. For a major or a match penalty (which Sutton got) the non offending team is awarded the 5 minutes AND the penalty shot. Think before you swing like that again, Sutton.

Thug.

I see you decided not to take the "why didn't Vinny get called for his cheapshot" questions, smart move IMO.

They sure did.

Looks to me that the heavy schedule caught up with the team, I was afraid that we wouldn't be able to overcome it and get points these last two games.

That doesn't explain Kari having two bad games, he was rested. Though being at the game as the backup isn't the same as having days off to mentally recharge. If he's not sharp on Friday....

Question: Do the Thrash usually get the early heavier schedule? Last year the teams we were chasing all had games-in-hand against us.

We'll bounce back with a win the next game...

Kari has to get his confidence back...fewer penalties, cleaner hits and we win.

I mean, we have the most potent offense besides the Sabres, and the only reason we lost the last two were stupidity and lack of concentration...

Actually, I didn't see the game, so I can't comment on Vinny's 'cheap shot'. I was just informing you bout the rule concerning major penalties and penalty shots, that's all.
