Tonight's thoughts (Nov 15)

- Just wanted to laugh at TheDamned for getting another prediction wrong.

- Huet is back

- What a goal by Gui

- Kosty deserves to stay in lineup all year. Him and Sammy seem to have great chemistry imo.

- Kovy is obviously playing hurt.

- What the hell is up with all of the brain cramps from the D? Tonight was bad for those..

- Re-sign Souray please. We need him for his work on the PP. Not sure if he'll be back though. I'll be the happiest guy in the world if he, Markov and Johnson are all back next season.

- Perezhogin is a beast

- I'm loving the chemistry of the 3rd line.

- Dandy played well tonight.

- Koivu was somewhat invisible.

- Where the hell is Ryder?

- 10-4-3 Bring on Florida!

tonights win is helping to make up for the loss to toronto. the team plus minus took a big hit in toronto with a 4 goal loss but a 6-3 win in ottawa and 3-1 in TB erases it and improves it by 1 goal. its still impossible to forget about it though.

Not really...tonight's goals were all on the PP for us...so the +/- actually took a hit

Niinimaa better damn sit next game. Responsible for the Tampa Goal and took a stupid penalty late in the game. Dandy is back. Bye bye Janne.

- Dandenault played on the 4th line tonight with Plekanec and Begin. He played very physical which I liked. I hope he's on D tomorrow night though, and Janne sits.

- Our 2nd line played solid imo. Sammy and Kosty have great chemistry. I think Kosty deserves a perminent roster spot from now on imo. Kovy is playing with an injury as we all know, and isn't as effective as he can be. He looked good on the PP though.

I disagree with you on the 'Perez is a BEast' and ''Where the hell is Ryder'' comments, Perez wasen't that good tonight and Ryder played very well on the PK. This is the rest of my post in the GDT :

Good road game, but all the credit goes to Huet tonight. He was a wall and was playing very very well. I loved the kids game, Latendresse and Kostitsyn lost the puck a couple times but also made some great plays. They got the talent and they will learn the littles things with our all-star coachs, just give it time. Kostitsyn is one of the few Habs that can handle Kovy's and Markov's passes and Latendresse is a monster along the boards and a big body in front of the net. Both have good shots, Lats confidence must be off the hook right now with his scoring streak. Souray PP goals were very nice, they seem to go in so easily.. id blame Tortorella on this one because he didn't try to get his guys to block Souray like most teams do, i hope he wont bash Denis.

Aside the penaltys that killed some momentum we played very well putting pressure down low and making the smart plays in our zone. Dandenault was dangerous and the 4th line had that spark we were looking for all year. Kovalev had his best game in a while, did he get some cortizone shots in his knee ? He was skating and deking like he was in top shape. There still some things to work on but im happy with the way we played today.

I agree that Kost looked good, but the way Lats has been scoring shows that he deserves a top 6 spot at least till he cools down. He could be the 13th forward though.

Well, I'd play Kosty before Downey or Murray. Even if Kosty is on the 4th line he can be effective imo. I'd just like for him to get the experience of an entire NHL season under his belt. Then we can see if he's ready for big minutes next season. As of right now though, I'd keep him with Sammy and Kovy.

where was Ryder ? he was there ! you didn't see the all giveaways he did ?

Minimum Mini-match from Miniimaal

Kosty was flying on the ice and made several good plays .

Samsonov played good , Latendresse and Dandenault too .

Rivet made some plays , as minimaal

Great passe from Koivu on the first goal , but not his best game .

HABS ROCK !!!

Niinamaa is nothing special, ok, but he is serviceable no doubt and we were better off having an NHL calibre d-man step in when Dandy and Cube were out than we would've been with a dipsy doodling centre who doesn't have a spot in our lineup.

What stood out most to me tonight was that this was the first game that our fourth line played well and in the other teams zone. THey were not pinned in constantly. Dandenault is awesome and very physical and fast. They were so effective taht once Bouillon is ready I would not be surprised to see him on the fourth line all the time. and to get some ice as a Dman if anyone is stinking it up or hurt.

For a second there I thought you were talking about Kovalev.

yeah, but when he is right... even if its one out of every 10 times... he'll go out of his way to say "I told you so"
