Alright, I'm leaving in a few for the game. I hope I get to use my "C'est affreux" line at the Canadiens' play tonight!

Last year I had an older guy from Montreal sit next to me. He was really funny and pretty cool, but kept complaining on how lucky Luongo was in his French-Canadian accent! We won the game handily, and the last time he called Luongo lucky on a save I told him: "Buddy, he's been lucky 27 of 28 shots tonight eh?" We laughed and shook hands at the end of the game. I love the snowbirds!!!

Nice shot, 1-0 Panthers. We've been sucking though. In this game, I mean. The powerplay was not there and we dump the puck and don't skate hard after it!

Any word on Gelinas yet? He took a puck in the face earlier (I believe).

Sweet pass by Horton. Way to finish the play Olli. Got a ton of energy tonight, got the habs on their heels. Lets put em away.

This is exactly how we needed to play. Olli's on fire! That 2nd period especially was absolutely awesome. The 3rd goal was all from that hipcheck and the increased physical play. Does anyone recall who did that btw?

I think it was Ryno who threw the hipcheck...can't remember for sure.

ETA: When he threw it, it was such a thing of beauty too.

Gelinas update:

Took the puck in his chest, not his face. He's out for the rest of the game with a "bruised chest".

How sick is Bouwmeester, honestly, he's just dominating out there, REALLY coming into his own, even offensively, he has what, 4 goals so far, approaching his career high lol.

we have to thank belfour tonight. had 1 or 2 of those early fluries resulted in a goal, we'd be whistling a different tune right now. on the opposite end, aebischer had a very weak night. the combination of a couple of weak goals and tired legs is going to be too much for the habs to overcome.

Pretty good game. If we can play every game like this and just keep scoring goals and getting chances, we won't have all the questions about our team. Great game by Belfour, too.

He!! of a game boys, HE!! of a game! That was pretty much 60 minutes of hockey from our Florida Panthers. After holding off the Habs for most of the first period, we really took it to them afterwards. We should of netted about 8 goals today, but Im happy with tonights performance. Lets carry it over to Sat night vs the Isle, lets get some redemption for our trip up north.

It's so nice seeing them win a game like that.. and Olli! Good stuff.. (Belfour, too)

.. that whole season ticket holders getting the bum end of the stick. I bought that '13 Best Games' mini-plan, and paid $17 per ticket for upper level seats for two tickets, and then got charged for parking on top of that - an additional $130 or something - and they've never charged anyone to park pulling into the lot, because those $17 include parking according to the massive billboards that laugh in our face every time we drive by them on the way to the arena. Love the Panthers, but that wasn't cool at all.

but.. heck of a game!

I saw a linesman pick up two off the ice. He didn't look that thrilled about it either.
