Eddy is a star. He'll show signs of weakness before the end of the game. Continue to shoot the pck on the net sons.

I don't get the reasoning behind putting Kovalev with Ryder and Koivu on the first PP and Lats with Bonk and Johnson. Lats had a good first PP and Perez did too... Why don't they just leave the russians together, even if they aren't doing anything productive?

On a sidenote...I didn't see Samsonov with the puck once that period.

Careful now, you might step on some toes talking about Latendresse in that manner.

I think we can come out strong in the 2nd and take this game, but it's always nice to see Eddy Belfour play out of his mind. I loved him a lot in Chicago and Dallas

Samsonov is a waste of time. I would try for the powerplay.. Kovalev, Koivu, Latendresse and Kotstitsyn, Plekanec, Ryder.

Latendresse was actually making a good play, his stick was tied up and he was trying to kick it back to his defender. Rivet's first give-away was the one resulting in the puck being held in the zone and made things chaotic for the Canadiens. Let's not point fingers at one person, they were all to blame for that horrible sequence of turnovers.

Well...here is my take on it.
Kovale's line is on the ice for about 2 minutes and the guys on the line are exausted. We get a powerplay Koivu's line starts it. Carbo thinks Kovalev's line isnt ready yet so he sends Bonks line for the rest of the PP. There is some more play and the team gets an other PP. This time Kovalev is ready and since his line hasnt been on the ice in a bit Carbo puts him on the first wave.
That's the feeling I got.

No, I knew you were being sarcastic. I was just referring to the guy you were quoting, I forgot that it only quotes one person.

It was a bad play, no doubt. But if people aren't able to take the bad with the good with a 19 year old rookie, then you will be in for a lot of headaches.

Why do the russian always bench for no reason? Perez never did mistake like Lars did and carbo keep him on the bench. Now Latendresse made a nice pass to the other team and he is on the PP while perez and kost sits on the bench and they were like the 2 best forward in this period. I know the 2nd line had problem in their own zone and the 3rd line did good but WHY did perez didnt play on the PP late in the period if bonk and johnson was on the ice? Samsonov didnt look great in the 1st but it's not a reason to sit perez AND Kostitsyn. Play Kovy Kost and Perez if he wants to bench samsonov...

Anyway that sucks.

I do get a kick out of the Florida play-by-play guy try to pronounce Latendresse and the other French names.

Look everybody saw Latendresse do the wrong move.
Yes it's his fault, so the freak what.
Do you think it's his last mistake?
Don't you think he got told about it at the bench.
If he does the same thing 3 more times this game he will be as good as Ninima.

Sometimes it costs to learn something, but thiers lots of time left, it's not the cup final.
He almost got it back already from that pass from Koivu, the thing to remember is he was again parked in his favorite garage. The kid is going to score a ton of goals if he continues to get to the front like that. We have wanted someone to get parked and NOW WE HAVE ONE. Enjoy
