Rathje or Hatcher?

Take your pick. Who do we waive (or trade) if possible? People seem to think we can get rid of both of them, but i think thats a dream to be honest.

My vote - Waive Rathje. He skates like the ice was replaced with drying cement.

They're both slow, so the question really becomes "when one goes to block a shot, does the puck some how end up in the net?"

The answer is Hatcher.

Rathje has been worse than Hatcher recently. I'll take the guy with the ring. Hatcher has marginally been better. Not great, but he's been better.

At least Hatcher can sometimes throw a bodycheck.

At least Hatcher can knock people on their *** and beat the crap out of them. I don't care about his +/- cause he looks much better than Rathje who is useless in every aspect of the game.

Whether through waiving or trading both need to go. Rathje adds nothing(subtracts amazingly though) and Hatcher, though in possession of a ring, was on two teams that Hitch "lost". Coincidence? No way, the guy is a cancer. If not for a fine cast of characters and a great coach Hatcher is just another washed up D-man with nothing to show for it.

The Devils dumped their washed up players, why can't the Flyers? Plus the Flyers wouldn't be anywhere near the cap trouble of the Devils.

I'd have to say Rathje because it looks like he needs more than a shot of Botox in his a*s. How bout a stick of dynamite?? He'll never be the same (not that he was all that great to start with) if he ever does recover.

Rathje, hes playing with the intensity and agility of a one legged granny.

I know hes injured but theres no way he should play and I dont blame him for his play.

He was great when Ragnarson was his partner, and there was a two line pass. But mostly when Ragnarson was his partner.

I voted Rathje.
1. I think Flyers have better chances to unload him then Hatcher
2. His contract is one year longer.
3. He missed a few games was injured last year too.
4. Not physical.
5. Does not look good this season at all.

Both are really slow and don't fit in anymore. But, I chose to dump Rathje for 2 reasons.

1. Hatcher seems to have a general leadership ability, hence he wears the A. He isn't deserving of the C, though.

2. Hatcher lost weight over the summer. Rathje did not. I can't really choose Rathje because Hatcher actually TRIED to get into shape for the new NHL. Hatcher is trying, and you can't blame him for that.
