The Panthers (7-9-4) are 6-3-1 at home and look to conclude a three-game homestand with consecutive wins after beating Montreal 5-1 on Thursday to end its longest losing streak of the season.

"We can't be satisfied with where we are now," center Olli Jokinen said after the Panthers won for just the second time in nine games. "We have to build on it."

Jokinen broke out of his four-game goal-scoring drought by recording his second career hat trick. The Panthers' success at home and struggles on the road might be connected to Jokinen's performance.

Jokinen has nine goals and seven assists in 10 home games, but the center who played for the Islanders during the 1999-2000 season has just three assists in 10 road contests.

"It's good for our confidence, but it's just one game," said Jokinen, who scored twice in the second period and once in the third. "(Belfour) was the biggest reason we were up by one goal."

If he gets the start, Belfour will look to continue his strong track record against the Islanders. The 40-year-old netminder is 14-5 with four ties and a 2.45 goals-against average against New York, although he has his last two meetings with the Islanders in shootouts.

Martin Gelinas is not planned to miss any time from his bruised chest that he left with on Thursday. Ed Belfour will also get his 2nd consecutive start, going with the hot hand.

Red Hot Cat Of The Night: Ruslan Salei now has a 6 game points streak going with 6 points in that stretch, putting him on pace for more points than he's ever had in his career, 8 points away from that (last year 19 points).

LET'S GO PANTHERS!!!!!!!!!!

I've been saying this for a while but Salei has been my favorite off-season signing. He's responsible in the defensive zone but has that shoot-first mentality that gets the puck on net, hence his assists. Keep it up boyz! Let's get 2 in a row and start a win streak!

Yeah, I've been really impressed with his ability to get his shot through. I really like how he has played the point. Wasn't expecting that side from him at all.

Go cats!

Why are they showing the Islander feed? It's a home game. These announcers stink!

I just got home so I haven't watched any bit of the game, but it seems like a dull game so far. I hope the Cats can comeout with some spunk in the second (we always seem to have good 2nd periods at home).

LET'S GO PANTHERS!!!

Man, I want to see the replay of his goal. I didn't even get to hear it because I had to do something for the first half of the 2nd. I'm listening now again.

Where are you listening from? I accessed WQAM, but it sounds like they're broadcasting a basketball game.

We played a great 2nd period. Why is it that goalies always play so well against us?

Dunham is a wall tonight and it's going to take a lot for us to beat him again.

The link on WQAM's website is to a basketball game it seems.

However the link on http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?service=page&page=Radio The NHL website works fine and is broadcasting the game (Panthers broadcast)

I'm listening on my radio though.

I was in the Islanders board earlier today and it sounds like Hill isn't as hated over there as he was over here. No, he isn't their top dman but they say he's improved since the season's started and some of them like him a bit now.
