Is this rock bottom?

nice to think we might be getting ready to get of the Mat. Anyone think we sink lower. Can it get worse before it gets better.

i dont think so.

i only went with 2 options. We need some decisiveness up in this piece.

I guess it could get worse - we could lose to St. Louis tomorrow night.

This reminds me of the scene in "Office Space" where Peter explains how every day is worse than the one before, so everyday you see him, it's on the worst day of his life.

The Jackets have been sucked into this kind of cycle. But the only cure is more Hitch.

I voted yes but it's based on a very optimistic outlook that says Hitchcock will soon be behind the bench and Dougie Boy will be told his primary job is to stay a million miles away from the hockey operations.

Ok, what is the one new thing we will soon see behind our bench? A non MacLean hire with power......this head coach is just the beginning of the end of the MacLean era.....for the first time in 8 years MacLean has been over ruled and told what to do against his wishes..... MacLean will never again rule the Jackets the way he has the past 8 years.....it's over for Dougs way of the past.

To further my point.... The person or persons who hire you fire you.....Maclean does not have the solitary power to fire the new head coach. The new head coach by default will have the power to trump any input by MacLean by simply going to the one who hired him...... MacLean has been checkmated and that's why he was so mad and irritated during his press conference announcing Gallant's exit.

The new head coach is now responsible to one person...John P MacConnel......bye Doug.

Do you have a good source on this?

God I hope it's true. I want to believe.

he may or may not.. but if jm says in black and white, "we will have the final say"..that damn sure spells it out for me. dood, doug is like a eunich now.(and believe it or not, optimists who haven't put me on ignore.. this is a good thing! this is the BEST thing that could have happened to the cbj.)

now.. gotta wonder if doug is sad cuz he knows he will get fired just when he moved his son to the area.. (oh god, i'm like dmg!)

I've been saying the same thing for days. I'm just looking for some official confirmation, or some source who really nails it down.

I agree totally. I've been calling it a public neutering. Just anxious to get more info on the subject.

I'm the source, common business practice is the source, integrity is the source. If the resturant manager hires you would let the head chef fire you?

FY Mr. chef, lets go talk to the manager and see what he thinks....

No, I said FY.....as in fyi

Integrity is a word often forgotton in today's society, what a shame. There is a very famous head coach in our own little town who exudes it and lives by it..... "call god, call your spouse then call your parents" he once said..... now that's a guy who knows how to inject heart into a team and his players. That is what the Jackets need.......
