Coming back to a forum for the sole means of taunting its resident posters is trolling.

I'd call it Amoebaing because it's not even worth noting as a vertebraic action

whoa. I think futurK (eff u turk!!) somehow bumped this thread up... just to make sure we all see (again) what a genius he is.

looks like Ghostie only got half the "story" right tho, he was dead bang on about Gallant... but his "dead wood players" theory clearly will not float.

(no, seriously, how did this thread get bumped up here? i know it was effUturK, he's bloody brilliant.)

Actually, it was me - I bumped it to say that that time was indeed "rock bottom" - then thought better of it, as I would somehow jinx the current groove.

you were actually my second guess

I don't think this team can be jynxed. They BELIEVE. They KNOW. They no longer survive on luck- they don't depend on luck to win - they don't need it.

Amen.

I've come to believe that nothing I do really has an impact on the games. I mean, I've made small vbets on them, big vbets on them, vbets on the other team...

I've tried changing my avatar.

When I go to the games, sometimes they win, sometimes they lose...

When I watch on TV, sometimes they win, sometimes they lose...

It's almost like I have no control over the result at all.

IMO 'rock bottom' was a 2-week period from when Gallant was coaching his last games until Hitch is officially named the CBJ head coach.

Things *instantly* changed when Hitch ran that first practice

But like I said, hindsight is only seen in 20/20... we may be hot now but there's plenty of room for a CBJ losing streak

Ya, they are not a ship drifting endlessly with no sails or no engine. The motor is humming, the sails are at full course and we are heading home....

Hey, that was pretty good eh.......

Rock bottom is a terrible place and I never, ever, ever want to go back there again!

That being said I think it is worth noting that the trip to the bottom of the well is most likely why the team has been so receptive to Hitch and his system. This team got so tired of losing (as did we all) that they would grab onto almost any life-line that offered a chance at legitimacy. I'm not trying to take any credit away from Hitch, nor am I saying that the first part of this season was in any way a good thing. I am just putting forward a partial explanation of the quick turn-around the Jackets have undergone.

Speaking of that...during the game last night I put my hat on just before Vybes scored....later it got hotter than hell in the condo so I started to take it off. I stopped, said no, I can't jinx this thing and proceded to sweat in the head for the remainder of the game.

The personal sacrifices we have to make to win are killing me....
