I know its early but ...

who should we draft , in term of skills !?

a big center , an offensive d-man , a defensive d-man , a speedy foward !?

expect that we have the 20th pick , who could be available ?

I would think that they would draft the best player available unless its a goalie or "speedy winger".... We have enough of those types of players. If they had a choice, I would hope that they would try to draft either a big center or quick defenseman.

We'll last years draft we filled up our defence prospect pool, so this year I think we should fill up our centers. Its obvious the next problem on our line is a big centerman. Right-handed even, though I wouldnt say we would have to be picky about that. With Koivu getting older, he may be retireing soon, so we need someone to replace him, and if we pick a quality centerman in the first round this year, in a few years he could be developed enough to hit our 2nd line, and then take Koivu's job once he's gone, cause he wont be around forever.

Yeah, I'd like a big mean guy, but with decent skills. Not Kostitsyn type skills (in his draft year), but enough skills that he projects to be at least a decent 3rd liner/regular shift taker who can mangle opponents with bodychecks and his fists if need be.

Without really checking anything, the first names that comes to mind are :

-Kevin Veilleux (big 6'5'' 200 centerman from Victoriaville)
-Dustin Jeffrey (Liked him a lot in yesterday's game, 6'0'' 206 centerman....)
-Big tower defencemen like Keaton Ellerby, Karl Alzner that might be gone though when we picked (6'4'' 188, 6'2'' 210 respectively)

But my dream pick, not including the obvious like Esposito, Gagner (what a player...), and others would be......

Brenden Sutter centerman 6'3'' 174lbs, son of Brent Sutter but should and will be gone when we picked unfortunately.....

Well actually we'll have the 30th pick cause... the Cup is ours Baby! Woohoo
Woot woot woot

Well I like what we did last year a good mix of "Best Player available/By need/ By postion" Which I think we should do again Go all Centre and D again. Cause if your going to draft with the method mentionned you need to do it 2 drafts in a row to get optimal resultats.

seriously guys I agree with habsfan101. PK Subban is around 6"2 has great speed, is always a leader for the team, never afraid of getting in fights or making monster hits. OH YA...He also has a 95mph shot. He is often compared to Sheldon Souray but a hell of alot better defensively.

What about Biega? I've never seen the guy, but he looks like a good project, a little bit like when we drafted Higgins.

It's either another defenceman with top 3 potential or a center with top line potential...besides that, take the BPA...

Zack Breton !

Or a centre. We need a big centre to play with Kostitsyn and Latendresse in the future.

Forget about the big center.

Let's pick a good center with speed!
