Maybe I should check my typos once in a while. Very good book.

I should have provided more information about the book before. It is Adrain Dater's book about the avs rivalry with the redwings. I just recievied it from Amazon.com. The good is a very good read with a lot of nice background on the people involved.

Yeah, AD "pimped" it around here a couple times. I haven't had the opportunity to read it, though. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

I received my copy today. I read some of it, skipping around, so far so good ... trying to keep it looking fresh so I can give it to my son for Christmas.

If I don't finish it before I gift wrap it -- is it appropriate for a sixth grader? What I read so far was fine, but I didn't get into the nitty gritty of the 96, 97 seasons.

Hmm. *Writes down book name*

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll read it in during Winter Break.

It is pretty clean except for the altercations with swearing. The incident with Crawford yelling at Bowman was pretty dark. Crawford dropped a lot of f bombs.

But definetly a great read. I couldn't put it down and finished it in one day. So much for working.

Adrian should be giving me money for promoting his book.

Just finished the book last night. Great read. I particularly loved the behind the scenes things that we usually don't hear about. I have to say though, the end of the rivalry plus the '02 loss (particularly the statue of liberty), made for a sad ending to this awesome rivalry.

i was wondering, does the book go into detail about the relationship between foote and shanahan? it seemed like these two tried their hardest to mame each other every game they played, but were also teammates on quite a few canada teams and both were great standup team guys who look like they would be best buds off the ice....

did they really hate each other that much or was it their passion for their team meant theyd do anything for their teammates, all non teammates friendships aside?
