Trade Rumour update

Apparently naslund may be on the move. Canucks are listening to offers from several teams. The rangers being one of them. I know naslund is listed as a winger, but could he play that 2nd line center that weve been looking for. he would be nasty next to shannahan and on the PP. Idk what we would package for him but hopefully nothing extreme. This is a eklund rumor though so dont take it to seriously.

Straka Nylander Jagr
Prucha Naslund Shannahan
Hollweg/hall Cullen Dawes
Hossa Betts Ward

but if no trade is made, id like to see these the lines

Straka Nylander Jagr
Prucha Cullen Shannahan
Hossa Betts Ward
Hollweg Immo Hall

I have a feeling Naslund is going to cost a lot if we were to trade for him. You would have to assume they would want Tyutin or Prucha as a starting point of a deal.

imo because of how good tyutin has been and how weak our defense is, he's become untouchable on this team

Everytime a big name player is talked about being traded the Rangers name comes up.

Ok, that being said, the Nucks would look for forwards as they have more young D-men than scoring forwards. Prucha of course will get mentioned, maybe even Immonen and Jessiman.

Something tells me the Nucks won't deal someone like Naslund to the Rangers, '94 still gets to them.

i wouldnt mind seeing a package of something like Prucha, malik/kasper and immo for naslund and either a pick or a solid dman or prospect in return. and maybe finally we can have dawes in the second line. i think dawes will be much better than prucha and prucha really hasnt found his game lately.

you're dreaming.. for starters we would have to give them MORE to take malik/kaspar off our hands

prucha and immo for naslund AND either a pick or SOLID dman or prospect? you're not even almost there

honestly we dont even need that dman and i think for immo, prucha, and a pick who knows maybe that could just be enough to pry him away. idk what the salaries match would be because idk what nas makes. the Canucks dont have any good young forward talent and could really use those two players. me personaly if it meant giving up alot of our prospects or youg players i wouldnt do it. I want the youth movement. I want to see a couple of these players in. immo dubinsky dawes baranka pock or callahan in. people i want out orr, hall malik rosie.

I wouldnt nessacarly mind that line up, but I think like In The Hall said, they would almost definitly want more than just Malik and Kasper in the way of D. If thats all they wanted then hey sounds good to me, but I think they would want a little more in the D department that those to. Dont forget, Malik was once a Canuck, so they know what he is and isnt capable of.

Naslund would cost ....I don't think the Rangers trade Tyutin but they would deal their next best d-man as determined by Vancouver,,Then I think you have to add a top tier prospect or pick..

so Prucha, Roszival, #1 or say Dubinsky for Naslund

Roszival maybe the rangers next best defenseman that we can trade but his value is not going to be much.. imo we're looking at Prucha, a first and a decent prospect, then you can include a player like Rozy or Immo

No no no, Näslund can not be used as a center!

Besides hockeybuzz is hardly a legitimare source, canoe reported Vancouver might move some players, and boom NYR is mentioned as always...

Though I am not saying its fun to speculate, Näslund-Morrison-Shanny would be a decent 2nd line!

I've never seen Naslund play as a center for the Canucks. I don't know if he ever has in his career.

Also, Naslund has a no trade clause.

Only a "decent prospect" more then I had mentioned....but I though back to the Bruins trade of Big Joe for Sturm, Stuart and ??? Primeau...so maybe it wouldn't be needed or maybe a 3rd/4th liner (Hossa? Ward?) ..Eh, probably a moot point,,

i didn't want to say dubinsky or staal, i meant someone more like Dawes (i view him less than Dubinsky anyway)

WHY ARE WE ALL SO ANXIOUS TO BRING IN ANOTHER SCORER? geez. Before we make a big trade let's try a more balanced lineup or something. We're playing fine

I wouldnt do it, give more youth for age, somethings never change like the fans who preach get youth in then the first big name that pops up they wanna trade prospects and picks and youth, the other is Sather, what an ******* this guy is.

If you look around the league the teams with youth are the ones playing good hockey. Not that Naslund is old, but I dont want him.

any deal for a player like that includes prucha/tyutin as a starting point. Love prucha's heart, energy, and decent scoring. Tyutin (& Ward) = closest thing we have to top defenseman. Don't want to move draft picks this year. Other defensemen = cap burdening salaries. Unless Vancouver is suddenly intoxicated with collecting prospects and marginal players, i can't see how the Rangers have any flexibility to make a trade for a big name player. And his contract, isn't it rather large? how do we even take it without moving one of our $ heavy dmen?

Näslund is a pure winger and has a no trade clause. We need a center. End of discussion.
