Erat completes our top line with Kariya and Legwand and is a very underrated player IMO outside of Nashville. Has very good puckhandling skills and a laser of a wrist/snap shot to go along with above-average speed. If this game goes to a shootout, look for Erat to be one of the first three shooters...and he will shoot...not deke.

Hartnell has continued to blossom this season after a year spent in the doghouse during the 05-06 season. An unrestricted free agent at year's end, Hartnell became the Predators' leading goal scorer this past week with two great games vs. Phoenix (6-0 win) and Detroit (6-2 win). Scotty has been centering the top powerplay unit recently and camps himself right at the edge of the blue paint where he looks to pickup goals by deflections and rebounds. A defensively responsible player, who doesn't have great speed, Hartnell provides physical play to his line and opens up room for his teammates to work.

Radulov is a player who you love to watch just for his pure enthuaism for the game of hockey. A pure goal-scorer with playmaking skills, Alex is not blessed with a great skating stride, but usually manages to make the most of his ice time (less than 10:00 a night, usually about 8:30...no PP time) by creating scoring chances for either himself or teammates. Great future ahead for Radulov in this league...watch him now and see the talent right on the edge of exploding, give him a couple of years and he will be an all-star.

Current lines for the Predators are as follows:
Kariya - Legwand - Erat
Sullivan - Fiddler - Dumont
Hartnell - Nichol - Radulov
Hordichuk/Smithson - Vasicek - Tootoo

Hamhuis - Weber
Timonen - Zidlicky
Suter - Zanon

Mason
Leighton

I would expect either Smithson or Vasicek to be scratched for this game to get Hordichuk in the lineup. Vasicek had a very good game vs. Detroit in a limited role centering the 4th line with Tootoo and Smithson, but I think that Smithson will sit in favor of Hordichuk for the added grit against the "Broad Street Bullies".

Should be a great game to watch. I'm actually looking forward to it to see how we matchup against an Eastern Conference opponent.
Great. Hartnell sounds just like what the Flyers need when we sign him next summer

Niittymaki will start.

Nashville's defense has scored 17 goals this season. The Flyers' defense? 5.

If Nitty continues his strong play this is a winnable game. If he plays just ok then we're cooked...

I think Hamhuis is one of the most underrated defensemen in the league. I used to have him on my fantasy team until I traded for Carle.

This will be a good matchup. If our offense doesn't get jump started again like in the past 2 games, then we're in big trouble.

That and lets hope the 2 big guys on our defense(you know who I'm talking about) don't screen Nitty.

Niity has to start, Esche injured for the next 2-4 weeks

from the flyers website:

(November 29) - The Philadelphia Flyers have recalled goaltender Martin Houle from the Phantoms. Robert Esche had successful surgery today on his adductor muscle and will be out of action for two-to-four weeks. Check back later for full release

Sure do! We have one or possibly two players. That's enough, right?

Does anyone know where you can watch this game on the internet? I pretty sure it wont be televised on any of the sh**ty stations we get in Western Canada.

Hiyoooo! Just thought I should mention I got a laugh there because I'm not sure how many other history geeks are amongst us. Our D is big and strong, but you just have to step around it.

I really think that the Preds should trade for the more junior Timmonen, anyone of their D in this game should be fair.

I will second those comments. Go history degree!

I think our chances are better tonight than they would have been last week with Vokoun out. We can only shoot at the crest for so much longer before they start punching through!
