Well the injury bug hits again. Homer out for a while with a seperated shoulder. Nate Robinson should be recalled. Whitney might play. But if he doesn't Robinson or Rivers will be forced into action.
Hopefully the guys lay off the turkey leftovers. We dont want to see any sleepy Wings on the ice tonight. These are points the Wings need to get.
I have a feeling it will be Cujo...I don't know why. Manny did a great job the other night...of course he wasn't all that busy either.
No prediction on a score. I hope the guys keep what they did the other night going.
I didn't think Manny was all that good.
The Oilers only had like 11 shots through two periods, and very few scoring chances before the game was out of reach.
The only goal was awful.
Sounds good to me, but, I'll say Datsyuk 2, Lidstrom, Thomas for Detroit and Parrish for NY.
Detroit 4-2
Peca will get one against the wings short handed, then Asham will pot one.
Cashin, Kvasha and Chow won't do a thing tonight against Lidstrom who I hope is back to playing his dominant defensive game.
Hull will pick up a point or two, as will Datsyuk. Maltby will finally get another goal. Thomas will get another.
Isles have really played like crap the last 10 games or so.
I'm hoping they get up for this game, not wanting to be embarrassed.
I'm inclined to agree with you so far, Isles played a weak 1st, that combined with the fact the Wings actually seem to be playing well (crosses fingers that they play a full 60).
Manny's been good tonight, albeit not really tested.
And nice to see Cairns gone for the rest of the night. Shame on you...ha ha.
Drapes! Hokey smokies! Who'd have thunk he'd have 10 goals already? Man, I can't wait to see what we do tomorrow night! And hear tell St. Louis is losing...this is even better!
Yeah, 10 goals? WTF. Regardless, hoping the Wings resign him.
Nice to see Detroit not follow up a good game with a stinker.
Mowers looks decent out there. Certainly better than Williams right now. Williams could lose his NHL job because guys like Bootland and Mowers have looked alright so far.
Can't wait to see how the offense does when Zetterberg and Whitney come back.
The usual guys continued to look pretty good. Mowers, Bootland, Draper, Maltby, Thomas...the usual parade of guys stepping up and playing well. Overall, a pretty good game for the wings (which is what you'd expect from a 6-zip drubbing).
The one thing that has stuck in my head, though, was that penalty to Fischer when he smacked Parrish around in the first. Yeah, it was a crosscheck, but we've also seen Holmstrom take far worse beatings in that area of the ice, with and without the puck. Fischer was doing the right thing in moving Parrish to the ice, and I hope he keeps it up, but gets called for it less. or if the refs are going to make those calls, they call it for the wings also.
Looking forward to tonight. Should be a good game.
