not much, in fact I don't think I'd do it for Franson alone.

I dont know i would think the kings would want more for Tuk. maybe add pick (2nd or 3rd)... i still think that you guys might be undervaluing Conroy. I think he would be great on the Preds but i guess i might have had my sights too high...

right. conroy is a nice player, and great in the playoffs...but you're asking for our two top defensive prospects, one of which is leading the entire WHL in defensive scoring and drawing more and more comparisons to chris pronger as time goes on. Honestly, I can't think of giving you Franson alone for Conroy.

I understand the idea behind this proposal. LA fans would like to have better depth at defense and many see the Preds as having too many defensive prospects(if that's even possible). Conroy was offered because it's known that he is being shopped around to cup contenders. It doesn't sound like Nash needs him.

What are the Preds needs in your opinions that would/could make them cup contenders? What prospects do you think would be used for such a trade?

In all seriousness ... we NEED a defensive dman that's about 6-3 & can skate

Norstrom is a King that intrigues me, but likely the only one that's available that does.

Exactly, i just assumed that you guys already have alot of great young dman as is and thought that conroy would help you out in your playoff run. Would you be interested in

Kings: Visnovsky, 3rd

Nashville:
Cody Franson
Ryan Parent

or just tell me to stop

What's your avaliable cap space? A move involving Matty+Pushkarev for Klein+Parent+pick sound close? Or would Nash have to shed a salery?

All of these trades just look bad to me. We really do not need to move Parent or Franson. I could see the Predators moving Klein, but the value we would recieve here is poor at best.

I don't have a problem moving Franson or Parent...IF it's part of a deal that's bringing back a STUD defenseman, like...someone in the Regehr category...still on the young side. I like Norstrom, but I wouldn't want to include a blue-chip defender for that.

I understand your position. I see the Preds as being in a funny place in terms that some of your skill players are getting up in age and some of your blue chippers are a year or 2 away. Do you stand pat and be patient in hopes the kids fill the areas of need or do you make a trade to fill the needs asap?
Nortsrom won't come super cheap nor is his contract, but he still has a few years left in the tank. Aaron Miller could be a vet fill-in at the deadline that will not cost Nash a arm or leg in a trade(a 3rd or mid prospect at most). Not sexy I know, but playoff proven and can be a difference as a defensive dman.

My point is simply this: Parent and Franson are at least two years away, whereas Klein is ready now. We can hold on to both parent and Franson with little risk of losing value on them, etc. Personally, I wouldn't trade either. Both could be exactly the type of guy we would love to have on the backend. There skating and size is just too good to give up on at this point.
