I can still be mad at him for not getting to the puck or at least taking the body. Thats what caused the goal.

It's a miracle. Time for another 2-game win streak?

so, the young defense looked perty decent this game. i think they played hard when they had chances offensivly and they were for the most part solid on D minus when jones had his back to simon. timonen and picard looked nice and meyer is turning out to be a consistant player in the nhl. too bad 80-90 % of the 3rd period was played in our end. the communication and passing in the third for te D was perty damn weak. but for the most part they played decently.

Dude, i don't know what season you've been watching. Hatcher is getting paid a crap load of money and although he has played better as of late, he still makes mistakes. That last goal was in big part his fault. He's still slow and he is just not effective in the NHL anymore. Just wait until we play the Sabres or Pens again and you'll see as guys like Crosby and Afinogenov wiz by him for scoring chances.

What's this!? Flyers are 5-4-1 in their last 10. That's like.... a winning record

Maybe the suck is slowly decelerating.

any time you shoot the puck from your own end when the goalie is pulled and yor even strength with 50 seconds left which results in icing, you are not the man. no need to risk them winning a faceoff and scoring a goal for your own glory of getting a goal. stupid play on his part. otherwise in the game he played decently as well. one thing though is that he didnt shine any greater than any of the other defense with little nhl experience under their belt. with 900 somthing games youd think hatcher should be playing like a god around the youngen's...but nope. its just regular old hatcher. i thought experience was supposed to mean somthing?

And another first star selection to boot.

Kudos to the team in that they've come around defensively. However, I'm still worried about Niittymaki's hip, but that's another story. With that being said, there's still a lot of work to do with this team in terms of offensive play. Our offense needs a huge breakout game. We've got a really young defense and it's criminal to continually ask them to bail out the team because the offense is running cold. Stevens and company need to address the offense shortly because they've got to score more than 2-3 goals per game. The personnel is there in that this team should be scoring roughly 4 to 5 goals a game. We need to find a way to give the D a bit of break.

Nitty is on some pretty damn good form at the moment, i'm impressed with Hatcher for once too. What the hell is happening there?

5-4-1 aint a bad record for a side that started the way we did. Looks like Stevens is really starting to get his ideas across.
