Bring Up Kosty

This is not something I thought up after the loss to the Canes, I was actually wondering about it since Dandenault was put up front.
IMO, Kosty is better up front than Dandy and Dandy is better on D than Streit. So, why not bring Dandy back to D and call up Kosty? Assuming Higgins is back in a few games the lines I see would be :

Higgins-Koivu-Ryder
Samsonov-Kovalev-Kosty OR Kovalev-Pleks-Samsonov
Johnson-Bonk-Lats
Begin - Pleks - Downey/Murray OR Kosty-Begin-Murray/Downey

Komi-Markov
Souray-Rivet
Dandy-Bouillon
Streit

Seriously, as much as I like Kostitsyn there's no room for him especially with higgins coming back in 1 or 2 weeks. With Higgins coming back we're already over roster limit so calling kosty up would be nice but at the same time almost impossible.

With Higgins back, I see more a line-up like this :

Latendresse - Koivu - Ryder
Samsonov - Higgins - Kovalev
Perezhogin - Bonk - Johnson
Bégin - Murray

Markov - Komisarek
Souray - Rivet
Dandenault - Bouillon
Streit

My ideal lineup with Higgins back goes like this...

Higgins - Koivu - Kovalev (Koivu has chemistry with both of these players)
Samsonov - Bonk - Ryder (2nd line needs a change/shooter)
Johnson - Plekanec - Perezhogin (Johnson/Pleks had great chemistry early on)
Latendresse - Begin - Murray/Downey/Kostitsyn

That way our lines can all score and are all good in their own end as well. Please don't rag on me for having Lats on the 4th line as I love what he's been doing as well and he could be top 2 lines but its just hightly unlikely he will stay up there when we've got Higgins, Samsonov, Kovalev, and Ryder. It could be argued he deserves it more than a few of them but it's too unlikely.

Our D is a tough situation though with Dandy needing a spot as we have a number of guys playing well enough to be in the lineup. I won't even speculate on what that would look like.

Those I like. I especially like that you keep Kovalev and Higgins as wingers, where they are proven to be most efficient.

As an intermediate step, I might try keeping Plek and the 2nd and bonk on the 3rd for a few games, both to see whether you can get the job done without changing line 3 as well and to not scramble all 3 lines in one shot.

I would only suggest that Begin remains on the wing too. Murray could continue as center, or better yet, Lapierre could replace him if the habs brass think he's ready. Lats is fine on the 4th if everyone else is healthy... he's still in development mode so it won't hurt him.

Streit's transition defense is really good, he does well on poke checks ala markov, but whenever there is a pressure situation its like his brain stops functioning and he just skates around falling and flailing his stick around.

Trade Sammy, put Latendresse with Ryder & Bonk, Tender seems to have a good chemistry with Ryder and always been good with Bonk, we get rid of Samsonov and we bring up Lapierre as the 4th Center... That's how I see it!
