Saku + koivu = GOD

What a game by the captain. He's been great the last couple of games!

Huet just confirmed that God stood up in the locker room after the 1st period.

Koivu took control of the game in the 3rd. An absolutely beautiful performance. He was always a threat, going to the net, working hard etc...

And of course those 2 great goals to help us get the W. The 1st one was pure desire and the 2nd one was great skill and hockey sense. Two goals which exemplify what kind of player Koivu is.

And his SO goal sick. I love that move and was really glad he pulled it off.

to our Captain for tonight's game.

great performance by Saku . His first goal was a hard working goal that only a CAPTAIN or a leader can do

I agree. Call me a homer, but it was one of the best goals I've seen in the last few seasons. Nothing flashy, but it was pure hard work and determination.

In honor of tonight and my flush winnings from the GSP fight (156+ odds, freakin beautiful) I will buy myself a second finland jersey, the swift nike ones. Hopefully their sleek and form fitting design will allow an asian guy like me to rock it somewhere other than at the rink or else it'll collect some dust in my closet. Also I'll get some custom converse chuck taylors hi-tops with KoivuIsGod engraved to complement the style.

Lats-Koivu-Kovalev
Sammy-Higgins-Ryder?

I think Koivu has to help Kovalev get going and I think Higgs can help Ryder and Sammy get going, I sure hope so

PS Higgins has played Center his entire life except here in Montreal, and maybe a bit in Hamilton, but I think he did play in hamilton as a C maybe?

How awesome would it be if Koivu played like that every night, yes he always works hard but I would love for him to find a nose for the net rather than always looking to pass.
He brought me and the rest of the Bell Centre to thier feet a few times tonight, I really wish eh won it in OT with a hat trick.

To me, koivu's first goal was the most beautiful habs goal I've seen this year.

I know you guys must think I'm crazy but that goal spelled out deciation, courage, and leadership all at once. That's beautiful to me.

He could have just as easily gone around the net but thats not saku.

the stage was set for the hat trick in OT

koivu was all alone infront of the net when bouillon took the shot.

all frankie had to do was keep it low for koivu to defelct it.... but he sailed a mid range wrsit shot for some reason... and koivu missed the tip.
