The Week Ahead...

The Habs enter arguably their toughest week of the season so far...

vs. Boston on Monday
@ New Jersey on Wednesday
@ Long Island on Thursday
vs. Buffalo on Saturday

What do you hope out of this week?

I'm gonna be honest with the Bruins playing better, the Devils always playing the Habs tough, and the Sabres being the Sabres... I would be perfectly content with a 2-2 split of this week.

Heres to hoping Higgins returns on Thursday aswell!!

2-2 would be fine by me...4 and 0 would also be good...

3-1 anything less is a step back for the Canadiens. We have heard from many Canadiens this year say that they want to move forward to become an elite team no longer a teeter totter team fighting for the final playoff spots. The Habs are much better than the Bruins and should be as good if not a little better than the Isles and Devils. The Buffalo game is a home game giving the Canadiens last change, hopefully the Habs watch how the Capitals played the Sabres last night to give them some ideas, although most of what I have seen/heard is that the Sabres took the Capitals for granted.

I cant wait to see if the Habs are finally gonna take control of these games or just match the other team and fall in a snoozefest again. The best game to tell will oviously be against the devils...

I would be fine with a result like that. It will be a deception if we lose against Boston and NY, but if we manage to have 2 or 3 points against the other teams, it would be great!

That is the toughest week of the season?!? 3-0-1. We own the B's this season. Brodeur is playing in the swamp, not in front of family and friends. The Islanders are...well, the Islanders. And Game 4 vs the Sabres! Looking forward to that one, it'll be a dandy. I'll be disappointed with more than 1 loss in regulation this week.

I see it as an opportunity to gain on teams that would like to shove the Habs aside on their way to the playoffs.

The game in New Jersey is a definite loss. We have no chance of winning that game. Winning in New Jersey for us is against the hockey gods law or something.

I hope we smoke the Bruins tommorow. We're due for some offence.

Not a terribly tough schedule ahead, but it won't be easy either. We must win against the Bruins I feel and then carry the momentum forward. Even if we don't do well against the Devils, we must come out strong against NYI. And that last game, oh well, it should be entertaining, and that's all I can predict for now.

Go Habs Go!

If it helps any, I'll be at the Buffalo game next saturday and I have yet to attend a Habs' regulation loss this year (I was at the home opener shootout loss to Ottawa, the win over Calgary, the halloween night win over Ottawa, and the shootout win over Florida last week).

We have been at many of the same games and have similar records. But each night you attend you put your record on the line.

Software engineering. I had the feeling that an exam on saturday would be too much of a hint.

Boston -playing much better....all tho we should win that game

Devils - well we never beat the devils... but like somone ...its in NJ - sorry broduer

Islanders - a team we should beat, that is having a decent season , but im not sure if people realise..we don't play good in long island... we never usually come away with a win, but maybe higgins will be back for that one. (we lost 5 out of the last 6 in long island)

Sabres - they will be coming out hard against us...after the last game..should be good..expect a close one

I would like to take 3 out of 4 games.. and there is a good chance!!

does anyone have that site from google, where they had the habs games from this season, I want to watch that game from sat against the laffs

I wouldn't so readily discount the Bruins. They beat Toronto twice at the ACC last weekend. Zdeno Chara was absolutely dominate in those games. He may have gotten off to a slow start, but he's on his game right now. Bergeron also started slow but he is starting to make offensive contributions for the Bruins, and he always loves playing the Habs. The difference will be the goaltending. While Thomas has played great the last few weeks, Habs have a solid record against him, regardless of how well he's playing, and Huet is a dominant goaltender right now. I'll take the Habs in this one.

All the games will be tough this week, like usual, and Brodeur always plays his best against us. We don't have that good of a record in either New Jersey or on the Island. I think we lose in a defensive contest in New Jersey and win with specialty teams on the Island.

Buffalo? We need to play them physical at both ends of the ice. Sabres may have taken the Caps lightly but they won't take us lightly. The Habs always play them tough and I think we get a win in this one.

I guess I'm calling for a 3-1 week.

I feel optimistic at home versus the bruins... whatever the year, the habs usually seem to have the bruins number.

We never seem to win in the swamp.... plain and simple... loss there

Long Island is an interesting one. I haven't seen them at all this season but they have a decent record. Blake is on a roll. I'd be content with a point there

Against buffalo.... on home ice... I just enever feel good about games against this team... I'll say a loss

I guess that makes my prediction 1-2-1.... hopefully, we're better than that.

We could be 3-1, but if we lose tomorrow I'll be really upset.

Wednesday game, at New Jersey... Well, good thing there will be the Bulldogs game on Sportsnet.
