What's up with Andy Delmore???

I have Andy Delmore on my fantasy team and I was wondering if sabres fans can tell me what's wrong with him, if I should drop him or whatever...

Gotta love how Preds fans flock to Delmore threads...despite the forum.

well, maybe next time...when a trade is made...your posters won't pollute OUR board...AND the main board, talking about "the steal" they just got...and accusing fans of the other team of being "ignorant" when it comes to hockey(citing the old 'southern' deal) and insist that ruff can turn anyone into a complete player. this all may seem ridiculous...and it probably is...but we PROMISED that we'd be here to rub your faces in it, after the display you guys put on, at the time of the trade.

and for the record, my original post in this thread wasn't intended to be "trolling."
a question was asked, and i answered it honestly. you turned this into a petty name-calling affair.

Actually, Delmore's defense hasn't been that bad. I expected much worse. His offense, or lack thereof, has been the surprise.

He turns that around, Buffalo will have a steal.

The "pollution" was evident on both of OUR boards. I would rather not even see a Delmore thread on this board, because it always brings out a few of "your posters". Dont you have enough to talk about on the Preds board?

Your point has been made on this topic more than once. Do you have anything new to add?

How about, if you have a problem with specific posters, you deal with them on PM. There were scores of Sabres posters who were leery of Delmore when he was acquired but still liked the trade, myself being one of them. I don't imagine Takeo21 was over on the Preds board trolling things up over this trade either. Every team has fans the likes of which you described, if I may be so bold as to offer some advice, just ignore them, it works for me.

As for Delmore, I agree with LALA. From what I've seen of him, he's not the defensive liability that he was made out to be. To qualify, when I hear that a player is bad defensive I think of someone who isn't good positionally, makes bad clearing decisions etc. I haven't seen that with Delmore. Most of his problems seem to be getting pickpocketed carrying the puck through the neutral zone or turning it over in the offensive end. That to me is a bad offensive player, not a bad defensive one. I'm not trying to say Delmore is some kind of great defenseman but he is better than I thought and I think better than Preds fans were trying to convince us, unless Ruff is responsible for turning his defensive game around.

Geez let's not get mad about this, guys...this is all meant in good fun. So what, we think delmore sucks. You get defensive about it. IMO it's all in good fun.

Although, in all honesty I agree what the statement NMK that Timonen had a huge hand in most of delmore's goals. And NO I am not stirring the pot.

don't worry about it- it's not a big deal. and who cares if it was. it's a discussion board, i'm sure sabre fans are just as "bad".

Guys, guys, do not say Andy's full name. The first letter should be censored.

Andy *elmore

No "D". Case in point, First nashville goal...a statue would have done more to stop him.

I was one of the unfortunate souls who drafted Elmore. Two out of 4 leagues...he was gone from them about a month ago...I suggest you can him too.

And look what Zidlicky/Timonen are doing?? Nashville's system, plain and simple.

Ought to be Elmire, replace the O with an I for the quagmire he's in with his offense.

I've found his regular and consistent giveaways right in keeping with what Preds fans reported as the primary reason they were down on him. The difference so far has been that through only a third of the season, his turnovers only directly yielded a handful of goals.

I find his lack of shots and seeming lack of confidence in his primary NHL calibre skill most distressing. Then again, when the Canes used to run Sean Hill for nearly 2 minutes per powerplay as their point shooter with Paul Coffey setting him up, he had inflated PPG totals too. Thankfully there are 50+ games for him to get his game in order and it only cost Regier a third rounder.

It's too bad that assists to players on the other team don't count... he would have had a couple last game vs. Nashville.

If you think this is bad, it's worse with the Sabres' actual website and their forum.
