Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves

Remember that scene, where they are chopping a guy's hands off? Is that guy Plekanec? Because, clearly, he has no hands.

This guy can't put the puck in the net. I'm not saying he's a bad player but he can't score. He'a having a lot of chances but always seems to shoot on the goaler.

Samsonov = toupie de cirque

Plekanec has hands! They're right there connected to his wrists!

... Oh you're talking about something else.

Pleks was a lot better on the 4th line.
Call up Grabovsky and move Plek back to the 4th line.

Carbo could try for a game or moving Bonk between kovy and sammy and putting plek on the 3rd.. it might do wonders for the team. If it doesnt work well put bonk back on the 3rd

I don't think Carb will break up the Jonson-Bonk combo.
What about this ?
Johnson-Bonk-Kovalev
(Begin or Samsonov)-Plek-Perez

plek's wrist shot leaves something to be desired, but his slapshot is suprisingly good.

Fellas, settle down...Plekanec has hands.

The kid just isn't playing with a lot of confidence right now. He's getting a second chance to play on a scoring line, and he's desperately trying to make things work with Beavis and Butthead, but it's easier said than done. I've always said the major thing that Pleks has lacked at the NHL level is self-belief.

I know people have a tendency to ask themselves "what have you done for me lately". Plekanec hasn't done much on the 2nd line...that's a given.

But those who have had the pleasure of watching him in Hamilton can attest to the fact that he does in fact have hands. Pleks can score goals. Pleks can dish the puck. Pleks can deke at high speed. He has skills. The one area where he needs to improve is cycling the puck down low, and even there, he's not that bad.

Right now, I'd agree, let's put Plekanec on the 4th line, cuz playing with Kovy and Sammy isn't fair to him. Too much pressure, and he's evidently not able to handle it yet.

But before we give up on Plekanec and say things like he belongs on the 4th line for good, I would like to see him playing with guys like Higgins, Koivu, Johnson, Perezhogin or Bonk. I have a feeling he might magically develop "hands".
