Kings PK are all focused on the puck-carrier and leave the slot totally uncovered. Bad.

Hey...after looking at the standings I might have to retract my previous statement. It looks like the Kings are 26th in the overall standings right now. And all of the teams trailing the Kings have at least 3 games in hand. The Kings could be only a 2 or 3 game losing streak away from being the worst team in the league.

I don't think the Kings have been dead last in the standings for the entire time I have been a fan.

I heard Nick Nickson saying on the radio that Nashville has similar structure as ducks and if kings (or slump-busters) keep the pressure and wear them out, they have chance of winning.....but they simply got outplayed....got knocked around....

After watching this game, i could see DL's reason behind bringing Crow as head coach, signing cloutz and keeping our d-corps as is....to get 1st overall for two years in straight..... DL, you are BRILLIANT!

Some random thoughts:

Mason's save on Kopitar was the save of the game. Without that, it would've been 1-1 and, possibly, a different game.

Harrold turned the puck over cleanly in the slot and, then, later, Weaver did the same thing, leading to a Kings penalty and another goal. Maybe it was the ice, but it'll sure be nice to get Sopel and Tverdovsky back.

I love Radulov. He would've been a much better pick for the Kings than Tukonen. Alex is exactly what we had hoped that the Kings were getting with O'Sullivan: someone who could step in right away and contribute with a good number of goals. There was a lot of talk over the Summer about how comparable the two players were in style and talent, but most people agreed that O'Sullivan was more ready than Radulov, who might need to "do his time" in the AHL, first. Whoops on that consensus.

I was thinking the same thing during the game. We could really use a sniper right now. Maybe somehow Lombardi can get Poile drunk and convince him that he needs Norstrom for their playoff run and Radulov would be a fair return.

I don't know. There's several people in Nashville who think Poile has trouble gauging the value of a physical, veteran defenseman. In no less than 6 months, he went from paying through the nose for a very mediocre one to saying that we don't even need one on the roster.

Hey, you never know. If you would have told me that Gleason and Belanger would return JMFJ a year ago, I would have laughed right in your face.

What I can't understand is the change in Crawfords coaching tactics. In Vancouver he played his top lines steady and really didn't roll out 4 lines. In LA he seems dead set on playing four lines. And not just playing them, but juggling them all game long.
Why the hell he doesn;t start Kopitar with Brown and Cammy/Frolov is beyond me.
He likes to wait until we are down a goal or two before Kopitar stops playing with Ivanans and Thornton.

Our youngsters are supposed to be learning and growing together. Why not start the chemistry building now? Conroy is likely gone by the deadline so why not play Frolov and Kopitar together so they gel. These two are big cornerstones to whatever LA hopes to achieve.

Kings need someone with speed who can penetrate the offensive zone on attack..
I'm tired of f#*@ing dump and chase hockey. This season just keeps getting longer and longer, trade for gomez now and commence with the all-out rebuilding please DL please!

I hope that Harrold is watching the Ducks/Caps game right now. Both Scott Niedermayer and Pronger have had an incident apiece where they turned the puck over right to an attacker. Niedermayer's gaffe, particularly, was very similar to Harrold's. Obviously, it's not okay, but it might help Peter's confidence to realize that the best defenders have their gaffes, too, and that he shouldn't let his bother him too much.

Trading for Gomez does not signal an all-out rebuilding phase.

I went to the game last night and boy do we stink! The first period we played great, but it was all down hill from there!

Cloutier was doing well, actually was impressing me. He was 10 for 10 on his first 10 shots of the game (which doesn't normally happen). Then he was 4 for 8 out of the next 8 shots...TERRIBLE! And don't even get me started on Harrold! He needs some more time in Manchester learning how not to turn the puck over in your own end!

That was the first Kings game I've gone to that the Kings lost. I am now 34 and 1 Hopefully Saturdays game will be better, im going to that one too!

GO KINGS GO!!
