Yes, it's a good stat and I have no qualms about that. My point is without that Kaberle or Sundin feed on the pp Tucker is rendered usless. His totals this year are overachieving. Statistically you can say he is on pace for 50 goals, but do you actually think he'll get 50? I'd be impressed if he hit 35. If he gets more...all the power to the fella. He's overachieving this year.

seems like it
Ryder and Kovalev are playing inspired with koivu, let's just hope Lats makes the second line better and not make him worse

I competely agree, those two have been feeding some amazing passes.

I certainly wasen't comparing Hossa to Tucker, simply stating that both have 12 PP goals. Whether it's a tap-in on the side of the net, or a laser from the hashmarks, the result is it helps the team win games.

If it's so easy to do, why isn't Antropov getting the PP time, why isn't Steen putting those goals in etc...Tucker is good at what he does and 12 PP goals is certainly nothing to scoff at, no matter how much you dislike the guy.

See my reply above. It wasen't meant as a comparison between the two, I would have hoped people would realize this. But the fact remains that a PP goal is a PP goal and Tucker is tied for the league lead. If it was such a meaningless accomplishment, more people would have 12 PP goals at this time. Yes, his goals might have been "easier" than Hossa's and there's no denying who is the better player, but at the end of the day a goals win you games, and Tucker knows how to put them in the net on the PP.

And I really disagree with your characterization of Tucker. I hate his guts, but on his own Tucker has shown he is a capable top 6 winger who can put up the points, make hits, isn't afraid to mix it up and can rile up the opposition. I hate the guy, but he certainly is not a bum. There aren't many players who can do what he does and still put up the points. He'll be looking at 3.5 million/per or more this offseason.

This is an NHL wide conspiracy by NHL goaltenders to undermine Plekanec's self confidence.

I understand your stance, but what you're failing to see is that Tucker is overachieving this year. As a matter of fact he did something similar last year. He scored a bunch of goals the same way at the beginning of the year and tapered off mid season and finished with a respectable 61 points. That 61 points represents his best season to date. Other than that he hasn't done better than 40-50 points which is decent, but not warranting 3.5 million as you believe.

Seems like the Habs always lose important draws this year.

This will become very important in the post-season.
