I understand your stance, but what you're failing to see is that Tucker is overachieving this year. As a matter of fact he did something similar last year. He scored a bunch of goals the same way at the beginning of the year and tapered off mid season and finished with a respectable 61 points. That 61 points represents his best season to date. Other than that he hasn't done better than 40-50 points which is decent, but not warranting 3.5 million as you believe.
Some might argue he doesn't deserve it, but I'm willing to bet quite a bit of money someone will offer it to him.
And I somewhat agree that he's overacheaving. Well maybe overachieving isn't quite the way I would characterize it, as he certainly is working his tail off for all his points, but his numbers aren't indicative of where he is talent wise. (Okay that's just a long winded way of saying overachieving, so you're right ) He's working hard and getting rewarded for it, let's put it that way.
He is a 40-50 point guy normally, but he's earned himself a spot on the PP and that's given him an extra 10-20 points a year. But at the same time, you can't discount PP points. He's earned them, and although I wouldn't qualify him as a "true" 60 point scorer, he's shown he can put up those numbers and he probably will again this year. Like I said, a goal is a goal, and even a PP goal helps the team win. If Tucker can put 60 points and help his team win, he'll easily earn 3.5 million/per imo.
Nice win, nice win, everybody played decent except Murray who was a bit under average.
They didn't need awesome goaltending to win tonight, first time this year.
Mark Streit is God. And I told you he'd be good before he ever laced them up for us. And carried his ugly Jean Reno mug in my avatar for TWO years to market him to you guys. I told you guys. Mark Streit you guys. Mark Streit.

I havent read any posts yet on either of our boards, but Im assuming you heard the chants on tv. Not sure if any regulars from these boards were down here in ny. I do have to say hats off to your fans for coming out tonight. That is exactly how to get a good fan rivalry going.
There was a group of about 15-20 habs in section 306 and another smaller group nearby. They were loud as hell from the first minute of the game to the very last. It really made the game alot of fun. I didnt see any fan fights either, which made it even better. But the chant wars going back and forth were grand. I dont think it wouldve been as fun tho if we actually had a good turnout, as the sound wouldve been alot more muffled. It looked as if half the Coliseum was empty.
Anyway, good game all.
Be nice to see you all make the trek down again for the next one.
