According to the Satelite hotstove; Nagy is available and has fallen out of favor .

I think he meant the sport of hockey message board trade proposals. I'd have to agree.

Well in that case, agreed.

As for Nagy, if I were the Canucks' GM, I'd pass on him. The Canucks need finishers, not another playmaker.

I'd probably offer something based around Anthony Stewart. He has alot of talent, but right now is closer to being a bust. If he can turn it around and is in the right situation he'll be a really good player.

Honestly expect a mid level prospect and a mid level pick. Nagy is a good player but in all reality if you get more than that the other GM got fleeced big time.

Maybe something along the lines of Nagy and Jones for Steen+. Not sure exactly but maybe a deal around would make sense. The only reason I didn't put a player from Toronto's end is because I'm not sure where they sit with the cap.

Way too many question marks with Stewart for PHX to deal away one of their top forwards.

Fair deal.
I don't want a guy that has a brain faintly bigger than the one of my pet (a rat) on the Habs roster. Apparently, Doan wasn't the one shouting 'stupid frog' to Auger. It was Nagy.

Toronto isn't trading Steen, let alone Steen+, for an UFA rental.

My only observation about all these endless Nagy threads is that there doesn't seem to be a lot of balance there. Nagy DOES have some serious question marks. But, you're still talking about a guy who has significant offensive talent in a league that is crying for scoring. So, PHX is going to get more than the spare parts proposals here. They'll probably get less than the 1st rounder plus great prospect proposals as well given some of the other issues (not a proven playoff performer, has yet to show he can remain consistent over a full 82 game season, impending UFA). But, there is no way PHX is not going to come out of this coming trade deadline as one of the big winners in the annual frenzy.

I understand, it is just that is the only young guy i'd be willing to trade who still has trade value. Horton is untouchable in any sort of deal involving Nagy. Similar scenario with Olesz and Weiss.
We aren't gonna trade a 1st round pick either for him. What team will trade a 1st round pick (Top ten likely, maybe top 5) for an UFA who whilst very talented has his question marks.

I'm not sure which Nagy you're thinking of, but the one we're talking about here is most certainly considered a finisher moreso than a playmaker?

I'd like the Pens to go after Nagy. They need a scoring winger.

With all the talk of an "underachiever", Nagy still leads the Yotes in scoring on a very offensively challenged team.

LW 17 Nagy, Ladislav 27 games 4 goals 18 assits 22 points +4

He is? On pace this year for a whopping 12 goals. His best offensive season was a 24 goal campaign. If he had played a full season last year his pro-rated stats would've notched him 24 goals. I've seen the guy play lots and he's always struck me as being a better playmaker than a scorer. The stats agree with me as well.

The 'guins are not a good fit. Your high end prospects are too high end. The Staals and Malkins are obviously out of Nagy's league, but then we are left with the Christensons and Armstrongs who aren't enough.

I'd want someone younger. Perhaps something centering around Nagy for Stafford? Although I don't know if Buffalo could afford Nagy capwise for picks/prospects.

No, Buffalo is right up against the cap. Buffalo wouldn't trade away Stafford, I don't think.

Kotalik is only 27 and signed for 3 years

yeah that is true, i would not look to make a serious trade. Kotalik needs a spark or a train of luck.

rt would not consider trading our top prospect unless it was for a player we could afford to keep. purely a rental effort. though ryan put up some nice college stats in his own right.

i was just really intrested in getting another scoring lw for a rightwing not named max or pominville.

loved the idea of nagy briere hecht.
